SMART MONEY WOMAN: AN EXPOSITORY TO BUILDING A FINANCIAL TRIBE

"This book is one of the best books I've read in recent times. 'The Smart Money Woman' was published in 2016, and 'The Smart Money Tribe' in 2019, yet they're still making waves. I must say they deserve all the recognition and I have decided to share my review with this community.

Arese was thoughtful and intentional, portraying her own financial experiences through relatable fictional characters. She clearly understood what she was writing about, and her storytelling skills are exceptional.

I learned that true friendship isn't just about gossiping, touring, and deciding on the next designer wear. It can be more. Zuri, Lara, Tami, Ladun, and Adesuwa are the kind of friends who stand by each other and are passionate about each other's growth.

At some point, I wondered if friendships like these exist in our society. These five women have different career paths, passions, and even one who doesn't have a clear direction until necessity kicks in. Can we find friends like these? I realized it starts with me and everyone else.

I learned about the power of investment: 'Savings don't make wealth, investment does.' These friends strive to achieve this, despite ups and downs, struggles, and inability to adjust. They're intentional about growing their finances.

Arese also portrayed the average African mentality towards financially independent women in marriage as a threat. This was the case with Adesuwa, who single-handedly financed her marriage, paid debts, but her husband left her with a baby mama. I hope this is changing and if it is happening enh, it is better to LEAVE TO LIVE THAN ENDURING AND LIVE WITH REGRETS.

Tsola was a breath of fresh air – a man who wants his woman to grow financially without feeling threatened. He's ambitious, a workaholic, and a lover boy.

I would d recommend the book and the movie (though I haven't seen it, and I'm trying to avoid getting hooked on movies this year - last year was my movie binge year, this year is all about books! 😂, less movie).

There are valuable lessons for men and women. In summary I will say it focus on personal finance, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation and it offers practical advice on managing finances, overcoming debt, and building multiple income and wealth.

Thank you for reading to the end.
If you have read the book, I will be glad if you can share your thoughts in the comments section.

Much love 🤍
