Yam and egg sauce any day

My favorite food is boiled yam with egg sauce. It's a nutritious meal that always makes me fill each time I eat it.

I highly recommend this dish to others. It's simple to make, low cost to prepare, and delicious. It is a meal you can eat any time of the day(either breakfast, lunch or dinner) , boiled yam and egg sauce is an excellent choice.

How to prepare yam and egg sauce:

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium yam
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 stock cube
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:
1)Start by Slicing your tomatoes, onions, and peppers using a kitchen knife.(Slice your tomatoes, onions, and peppers in whichever size of your choice)

  1. Set your frying pan on the heat and add oil (vegetable or olive oil), allow it to heat for just one minute before adding the sliced tomatoes/onions/peppers.( It is best if you have a non-sticking frying pan, to prevent the sauce from sticking on the frying pan) .

Allow this to fry for about 10-15 minutes. Remember to always stir, you don’t want to end up with burnt tomatoes.

Add the sliced tomatoes, peppers, onions and fry.

Add salt to taste, half of a seasoning cube of your choice. Stir to avoid burning.

Beat eggs in a separate bowl, add a pinch of salt and pour it into the frying tomatoes.

Allow the egg along with the tomatoes to fry.

Don't let it get burned. Try breaking into tiny crumbs, you can do this by using your stirring spoon.

Serve egg sauce with your boiled white yams.

That is just how to make egg sauce for yam. You can also decide to serve this sauce with boiled plantain, boiled potatoes, rice, beans or even spaghetti. The sauce goes with almost anything.

Yam is not only delicious but also nutritious. Yam provides energy(it is a carbohydrate food) , while the egg sauce is a good source of protein. I would say it is a balanced meal for me 😂 . I hope you give it a trial one day. Thanks for reading 🤗.
