Splinterland Brawls are a guild event where you can earn merits and SPS. This post serves as a way for me to review how my fights went and as a reminder to sign up for the next brawl. I have missed brawls in the past and it hurts when Gladius cards can now be used in ranked battles using the soulbound summoners. 4 star brawls are rough as the teams tend to be stronger. I am still in the gold league gold foil matches and I did bad this time around. I didn't win a single of my submitted matches and the only win points that I got were from guilds who didn't submit a person in that brawl.
Brawl Result
I chose the gold foil modern Brawl and got 2 wins. There were 2 free wins in this match because two guilds didn't submit someone for a game. My rewards for the brawl were 3,143 merits and 41.711 SPS in the 4-star category. My guild ranked 6th place out of the 9 guilds there. I choose to take the gold foil modern brawl because my guild usually doesn't fill all their spots and I prefer to give my other guild members a chance at the brawls. I forgot to get the guild ranking list this time around, but I think we got 7th or 8th place given the bad rewards that we got.
Brawl fights
There were 7 that I lost. So I included an idea of the match below and a few thoughts about it.
You can find the first match here. I lost this match. My opponent just had the stronger lineup due to the summoner. The void armor and amplify hurt as it made it hard for me to kill my opponent when they were dying so fast.
You can find the second match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. There wasn't much that I could do once that Carnage Titan could attack.
You can find the third match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. That Quora and Katrelba Gobson combination is deadly as they were already powerful cards.
You can find the fourth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. That Cornealus with thorns in the back was deadly but I never even got that far. The damage that my opponent had was just too much.
You can find the fifth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. It's another fight with Katrelba Gobson so it was already an uphill battle.
You can find the sixth match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. The damage that my opponent had was quite crazy and he was also debuffingg my ranged monsters with headwinds.
You can find the seventh match here. I lost this match because my opponent had the stronger lineup. It's a rough fight as my damage was too spread out. I couldn't do much as my opponent focused down my monsters.
Conclusion
Doing 9 fights for 3,143 merits and 41.711 SPS is a good reward for the effort. It was a rough brawl and it's the first time in a while where I lost all of my submitted matches. The level disadvantage is quite noticeable as most of my opponents were able to move before me.
