You know that feeling when you feel like not going outside but you have to because you have to! 😅 My bed was like a big magnet taking me back to my comfty sheets. I needed to go to the mall to meet a friend to talk about stuff that can’t be discussed over the phone. I was a bit sluggish due to the gloomy clouds and dreary weather. But here we are.😅
I prepared and headed to the mall. This mall is popular for meet-ups as it is near a train station and situated in two major cities.
It felt different stepping into the mall as I saw less people, perhaps due to the rainy season. 🌧 The silence was so big… 😳 where were the shoppers? But it was a blessing for me as an introvert, haha! 🤪 And, I can take pictures without feeling shy.
I waited for my friend in Landmark Foodcourt. I chose this place because of the nice lighting through the big glasses. The weather was hard to predict as it showered for 10 minutes and switched to sunny. It was an inviting ambiance featuring modern decor and design. I think this place was designed for a quick snack like coffee, bread, yogurt, fries, or any food that’s to-go.
To kill time, I took pictures of the hanging flower chandeliers. 🌸
Looks small in the picture but huge in real life for a chandelier. The petals were bright and eye-catching. I was starting to realize that the theme for this corner was a garden. I did not see just flowers, but butterflies too! 😍
My favorite part of waiting was the train passing by. I was waiting for the perfect moment to capture it passing by. 😁 I love the contrast of the blue sky and the against-the-light shot. Ahh~ the perk of going to the mall early was getting a shot without people, haha! Also, pretending I was an extrovert.
I was satisfied with my train shot, now, time to get some bread. I was taking my time to decide which one to eat. I had all the time to ponder as there were no people next to me. 😁 Hmmm… should I get the flaky, buttery croissant or the cheese bun? After a moment of fighting between my brain cells, I chose the croissant. But wait, why not take another bread? I added a piece of garlic bread for my friend while I waited.
I sat on the high chair facing a grand view of the big glass window where the train would pass by.Yey, I got the best view to eat my warm croissant.🥐
After munching with delight, my phone buzzed with a text from him. He entered on the other side of the mall, and so I told him to way over here where I have the best view of the day. I handed him the garlic bread as soon as he arrived, and he sure appreciated my little surprise.😃 In turn, he treated me to a hot chocolate and got himself a hot coffee. We settled down to talk about what we meant to catch up.
After the chit-chat and done with our drinks, it was time to get some real eating. The main food court was upstairs so we had to take an escalator.
My eyes panned to the book sale in the center of the mall. It was the Big Bad Wolf event! 😄 Ahh~ I think I missed it as the staff were packing up the books in boxes. I could have looked for some books and mangas.
Ahhh~ I don't know if I'm going to watch Deadpool & Wolverine in cinemas or just wait online, haha! 😆
We found a perfect spot to dine in the corner. I avoid being close to the walkway as I get dizzy when people were passing by. I got a 5-dollar steak with rice and veggies. Not the best, but it was okay with the price. Can’t complain there.
We finished our lunch with contentment. Our little food trip and conversation made the day fulfilling. Time to say bye and be back in my bed. I felt thankful for a simple moment that made the day something special.
