My mind this week was really all over the place because of me thinking back and forth about minting for the first time on @nftshowroom. I was kind of discouraged because I always have this thought that my art will not fit as an NFT. Let alone I am not a fine arts graduate or anything on that line. I draw because simply it makes me happy, so might as well turn it into an NFT.
I discovered NFTshowroom from @tpkidkai who dropped a comment in my introduction post. I got excited because I mint my NFTs too in Opensea. It took me almost three months to mint my first ever art in NFT Showroom, and here it is!
NFT Collection Name
Thinking of the collection name is brain-wrecking. One of the hardest steps in minting is to think of the collection title. I reached out too to my friends who suggested a collection name. They came up with chibiru, Jijified, Jebs, Jijimon (this is funny), etc. Some were just messing around, HAHA! After deep review, I came up with the final title for my collection. I named my first NFT collection in Hive, Chibis on Hive!
Chibi is a Japanese slang word that means short or little and suggests cuteness. A chibi art style is close to a cartoon style drawn in a small version.
My First NFT on NFT Showroom!
My first NFT is named Pat. The name is not really associated with Halloween, but Pat is the name of my late grandma. I suddenly miss her perhaps because all souls' day is coming. We always visit her grave every November 1st.
Character Story
Pat is an orange-haired girl, almost like a pumpkin color. She is very fond of dark mysteries, witchcraft, and black auras. She has a spiky headband with a black bow to keep her hair accessorized. She is wearing an old red, velvet dress with a golden brooch. She lives in an eerie ghost town far from the people. Her place is an eerie scenery. Block after block of deserted houses for horrifying thinking. The place was once a delightful town filled with happy families until they all moved to the city. Now it is just emptiness. The cracks of the woods in the air, and chirping birds are the echoes of the ghost town. It is a hushed place, perfect for Pat, accompanied by Luna the cat. She got those sparkling, yellow eyes, huh?
I want to give a heartful thank you to my friends, @jude.villarta, @dennnmarc, @sensiblecast, @eunoia101, and to the HivePH peeps for giving me encouraging words and giving me the extra push to start a new NFT journey. Without you, guys, I might be having a tough time getting my shit together, haha! Or even dispirited. I appreciate your inputs and late night talks. You guys made me feel better!
