A rainy Friday night! 😊
For this week, I chose to draw Rush Townsend as a cute humanoid wolf girl.
Art Process
I am doing a portrait for now emphasizing her delightful blushy smile. I wanted short hair with the ears popping out on the head. On the side, I wanted to put some hair covering her right chest. I wanted simple hair, not too much detailed strands. For the eyes, I wanted smiley eyes. I will incorporate the details on the eys later on.
I then filled the spaces with the base color. The color I chose for the hair is somewhat grayish purple, and for the inner ears, I chose an off-white shade. Originally, I wanted the eyes to be orange and yellow. I thought it did not match the compatibility so I just go ahead for the purple iris. To illuminate it, I used an airbrush in color dodge mode. On the clipped layer, I started working on the shadows using a hard airbrush. I was assuming the light source was on the upper left part of the canvas.
Using the airbrush, I sprayed some pinkish to red-orange shade on the cheeks, nose, and lips. I chose a dark brown shade to apply just on the lower part of the eye. Next, I applied a glow on the forehead using glow dodge. The shine of the hair was using a flat brush and smudge brush.
Final Art
I blurred out the edges of the hair just to give it another dimension. Finally masking the canvas with a textured image and lowered the opacity.
Finished art! ✨
