The Daily Grind
One thing people will often say to you in #Splinterlands is "Keep playing those Daily Quests". We are in a Bear Market and it's pretty tough to earn a lot in play2earn NFT Gaming ecosystems, believe me as I play a lot of different crypto games!
The reason it's important to keep playing Splinterlands is because it helps you to keep up with the latest 'game meta' (cards and strategies that win you games) which in turns may help you distinguish which cards are likely to increase in value over time. Also, you should see yourself as playing for "future card values" as we await the next Bull Market and hundreds of thousands of new players flooding into the game. When this happens Card and Pack demand will increase and thus so will the prices.
(Above) My October Season Reward didn't yield any amazing cards, but was loaded with $4.04 of $SPS Tokens. I just wish $SPS didn't have to be STAKED straight to your account, as I'd love to buy Riftwatchers packs without the tedious unStake process.
7 Day ROI
I'll be honest, it hasn't been an amazing Season for me in Splinterlands so far, but it's important to look at an 'average' Return on Investment and not always write Blog posts when we pull amazing cards. I haven't put any fiat (traditional currency) into Splinterlands since around April 2021, so my investment in this case is ONLY playing time. Because I got into Splinterlands early (during the Untamed Pack Sale) I have been able to flip cards and recirculate $DEC & $MERITS back into the game.

My Best Card pull this Season
(Above) My best card pull this Season (so far) has been one of my favourite Ranged FIRE cards Countess Sinash who works particularly well with the Legendary FIRE Summoner Yodin Zaku seen in the pic below. Yodin combines really well with Sinash as he gives her +1 Damage, +1 Life and the super powerful BLAST Ability. Sinash has quite low Life (4) but with her Camouflage Ability will not be targetted by the enemy so works really well right at the back of your lineup!
(Above) Yodin Zaku is almost everyone's favourite FIRE Summoner, although renting him even mid season is not cheap. A LVL 1 Yodin rental will make progressing through Gold League a lot easier, but to buy him on the market will set you back $260.
Conclusion
As I mentioned it's important to keep playing Daily Quests, even if you can only put 30 minutes in a day. In fact playing for just an hour a day will keep your ECR (energy capture rate) up at a high level and you won't have to work quite so hard.
