Lucked out this past weekend by not only participating in our first running event of the season, but also going back and staying at the resort we spent our previous July vacation at, which is not too far from where we live in Kissimmee. It's about a bit over an hour to Cocoa Beach.
The resort itself is right in front if the terminal where cruise ships dock and also connects to the beach.
We didn't stay as long, because the main reason we booked another stay there, was to be close to the running event. The run was early in the morning, so we would have to get up REAL EARLY to drive out there and be on time. The resort was minutes from the event.
Tiffany has been in the hospitality industry for many years and I spent a chunk of it in the industry while I've lived here in Florida and although I'm not in the industry anymore, Tiffa and I take full advantage of the discounts and points for being an employee for the company she works for. We always have.
Coincidentally, Tiffany and I met at one of the company's and now she works at one I used to work for when I left the one we met at. I have been out of the industry for over two years now.
That has allowed us to freely stay near events were are participating in, mostly the running events or if we want to visit the fitness studios we workout at outside of Central Florida then we book rooms nearby as well. Our membership to the fitness company is worldwide, so we pretty much can go to most of them without paying extra unless it's like in certain primo spots like New York City.
This was actually the first time either of us had the opportunity to book a resort through the company as we usually book hotel stays.
We had the boys with us and the 15 year old suggested we take a walk on the beach at night, so we definitely did that and I had just transitioned to an iPhone 14 and put it to the test and got some pretty good shots during our walk.
