The town still full of stories, its streets and paths do not cease their eternal eloquence full of daily humanity...
El pueblo sigue repleto de historias, sus calles y caminos no cesan su eterna elocuencia repleta de humanidad cotidiana...
So these photographs are my entry to today's #monomad challenge.... They are my "Stolen Stories" from the streets and roads of the place where I "exist"...
Entonces estas fotografías de hoy, son mi entrada al reto #monomad de hoy... Son mis "Historias Robadas" desde las calles y caminos del lugar en donde "existo"...
"More grass for the donkey"... In past publications I posted a frontal photo of this man (now I know his name is "Esteban Tarazona")... Now I wanted to share this vertical photo where he is carrying the pasture for his donkey and some dogs play around him and his loaded wheelbarrow... I like the street eloquence of this image.
"Más pasto para el burro"... En publicaciones pasadas coloqué una foto frontal de este hombre (ahora sé que se llama Esteban Tarazona)... Ahora quise compartir esta foto vertical en donde aparece llevando la pastura para su borrico y algunos perros juegan alrededor de él y su carretilla cargada... Me gusta la elocuencia callejera de esta imagen.
"Enrique Apolonio"... Enrique is already a typical character of the village despite being a man barely in his fifties... Enrique suffers from some kind of cyclical schizophrenia and is usually a quiet and hard-working man, very kind and even blesses people when he greets them... But occasionally his personality changes and becomes severely disturbed, so he calls himself "Apolonio", dresses in rags and often behaves in an aggressive manner... Considering that he is over 1.90 m tall and weighs about 100 kg, that's pretty scary for those of us who meet him on the road or in the street!... Fortunately, his personality crises are now very rare thanks to medical treatment...
"Enrique Apolonio"... Enrique es ya un personaje típico del pueblo a pesar de ser un hombre apenas llegando a la cincuentena... Enrique sufre de algún tipo de esquizofrenia cíclica y suele ser un hombre tranquilo y trabajador, muy amable e incluso llega a bendecir a las personas al saludarlas... Pero ocasionalmente su personalidad cambia y se trastorna severamente, entonces dice llamarse "Apolonio", se viste con harapos y suele comportarse de manera agresiva... ¡Tomando en cuenta que mide más de 1,90 mts y ha de pensar unos 100 kg, eso es algo bastante atemorizarte para quienes lo encontramos en algún camino o calle!... Afortunadamente, sus crisis de personalidad son ahora muy escasas gracias al tratamiento médico...
"The grandmother, the granddaughter and the bottles with water"... A grandmother and her little granddaughter offer a charming image in a street of the poorest sectors of our town... On the far left of the picture you can see an improvised wheelbarrow used to carry water from the public fountains to the house...
"La abuela, la nieta y las botellas con agua"... Una abuela y su pequeña nieta ofrecen una imagen encantadora en una calle de los sectores más pobres de nuestro pueblo... En el extremo izquierdo de la imagen se ve una improvisada carretilla que sirve para llevar y traer el agua desde las fuentes publicas a la casa...
"Arriving the town"... A couple of peasants arrive on the streets of the village, coming from the mountains to the north... They usually come to sell some of their crops and stock up to return to their homes in the mountains.
"Llegando al pueblo"... Un par de campesinos llegan a las calles del pueblo, provenientes de las montañas al norte... Suelen venir para vender algunas de sus cosechas y aprovisionarse para volver a sus casa en las montañas.
"Chitchat"... Two female neighbours come and go while talking slyly (or not so slyly) about the events in the neighbourhood... :)
"Cháchara"... Dos vecinas van y vienen mientras hablan disimuladamente (o no tan disimuladamente) sobre los sucesos ocurridos en el vecindario... :)
"The unbearable photographer"... Ha ha ha ha... I stopped to talk whith some friend in a corner... "Cheo", who appears in the photo, is telling the others: "Jesus is a damned unbearable photographer, as soon as you meet him he is already taking a photo of me without asking"... Ha haaaa haaaa :))... Cheo has made it very clear!.... But he's my friend, it's a lot of fun...
"El fotógrafo insoportable"... Ha ha ha... Me he detenido a hablar con algunos conocidos en una esquina del pueblo... "Cheo" quien aparece en la foto, les está diciendo a los otros: "Jesús es un condenado insoportable fotógrafo, apenas uno se lo encuentra ya está haciéndome una foto sin preguntar"... Ha haaaa haaa... :)) ¡Cheo lo ha dejado bien claro!... Pero es mi amigo, esto es muy divertido.
"In the workshop's door"... In Vladimir's workshop he repairs almost anything... At the door of his old workshop I have "stolen this story" where Vladimir's son and his cat, let time go by without worrying too much.
"En la puerta del taller"... En el taller de Vladimir él suele reparar casi cualquier cosa... En la puerta de su viejo taller me he "robado esta historia" en donde el hijo de Vladimir y su gato, dejan correr el tiempo sin preocuparse demasiado.
"The Bar Corner"... The manager of an old bar sits in the corner diagonal to his business... Those old bars in town (usually called "botiquines") used to be frequented by middle-aged and elderly men whose main pastime was drinking rum and beer, also playing cards or "bolas criollas"... But that has changed with the new generations... Now these places are closing down one by one and only a few are still active.
"La esquina del Bar"... El encargado de un viejo bar permanece sentado en la esquina diagonal a su negocio... Esos bares antiguos del pueblo (Llamados usualmente "botiquines") solían ser frecuentado por hombres de mediana edad y ancianos cuyo principal pasatiempo era tomar ron y cervezas, también jugar barajas o "bolas criollas"... Pero eso ha cambiado con las nuevas generaciones... Ahora estos locales van cerrando uno a uno y son pocos los que siguen activos.
"One of those rare photos".... Well, that's what happens here... On a lonely street there is an old bicycle and a carriage for babies, inside of which there is a baby bottle... But I don't see anyone around!... What a strange photo!...
"Una de esas fotos raras"... Bien, esto suele suceder aquí... En una calle solitaria están una vieja bicicleta y un coche para bebés, en cuyo interior hay una mamila... ¡Pero no veo nadie cerca!... ¡Vaya una foto rara!...
"Towards another towns"...Pedro (the tall man on the right), his wife and son, are heading towards the exit of the village... They are going to work in another village called "Miranda", as they have not found work in the local farms... They usually work together during the harvesting season of tobacco and other crops...
"Hacia otros pueblos"... Pedro (el hombre alto de la derecha) su esposa y su hijo, van rumbo a la salida del pueblo... Ellos van a atrabajar en otro pueblo llamando "Miranda", pues no encontraron trabajo en las fincas locales... Ellos suelen trabajar juntos durante las épocas de recolección de cosechas de tabaco y otros rubros...
