One month since I started to learn to draw! This practice session consists of a series of 3 drawings of a woman figure. Again, I stick to the grid this time. Sorry If there isn't a progression of this work but I didn't though about writing an article while I was drawing 😅 (and the next ones too, shit xD)
Starting with the grid, it took me a lot of time to measure and mark all the points. Using a grid It's like cheating but it keeps me on track with proportions and helps me to learn to measure, very important for future drawings.
I started by drawing the form as a silhouette and then I begin shading from the bottom to the top. After a lot of struggling, I was quite happy with the result, the shading is quite acceptable since this is my second drawing. However, the hands, feet, and face need some more love but that's something it will come with the next practices
From this point, the grid will be a little bit more simpler but complex for me since I have to make a greater effort to fit the lines and points.
Now the figure is in profile and all the proportions are different from the light and shadow as well.
I missed some proportions because the grid is smaller but I'm also happy with the result. This time I struggled with the head because the hair is very intimidating (at least for me).
Again, the face, hands, and feet are not very good. I think these parts of the body have a lot of details and require more attention and knowledge.
Finally the last one! Of the 3 drawings, this is my favorite one. I learned from the mistakes made in both previous drawings and had more fun.
