I Am Alive Challenge - 2/1/22

I’ve been MIA for a while. I have been moving. It really was one of the most stressful times I’ve been through. We had so much stuff. I had to drive a 26” truck, the packing and cleaning seemed impossible.

We finished at 11:30 last night. We have a small hatchback that was jammed packed with stuff we couldn’t fit in the uhual. We rented an Uber too and finally got the last of it done.

I am physically exhausted because we are on the fourth floor. So much stuff to carry up the stairs. We just finished unloading the car and it is done.

I LOVE the new apartment. We have to unpack and get everything situated but I have a den that I can use for my work, exercise, and music.

It feels great to have all this behind me. Now just to enjoy the new apartment.

    Congratulations on your move. I had to chuckle at your struggle to move all your gear.

    Years ago I cleared all my stuff out of my parents' attic, got rid of a lot of it, but still had about 14 big boxes to ship to Japan! Then, a few years later, I got interested in "minimalism" and started to get rid of stuff... I'm not a full on minimalist by any means. I call myself a "moderate minimalist" - but I've probably got rid of two thirds of my stuff. Yeah, it cost me an arm and a leg to ship stuff to Japan that I stored for a few years before getting rid of! Crazy.
