For this week's questions of LOH, I would choose the 1st one to answer.
Name a song, any song, happy or sad, that stirs your heart and soul every time you hear it. What memories, feelings, emotions, and images does the song bring back? Is there a story that goes with the song?
There are so many kinds of songs. Love songs, inspirational songs, and gospel songs are my type of songs. But if I were to pick only one song that stirs up my heart and soul every time I hear it, it's GRACE by Laura Story.
Here's the video, just in case you wanted to hear it.
My heart is so proud
My mind is so unfocused
This is us. We're proud and boastful that we think, what we are now and what we have now is because of our strength and hard work. We only focused our attention on the things that we see, things that this world could offer.
And now You gently break me
Then lovingly You take me
And hold me as my father
And mold me as my maker
But God doesn't want us to be consumed only with this world. So gently, He breaks us to let us realize. He molds our character aligning us to His will for us and conforms us to His image.
I ask you, "How many times will you pick me up
When I keep on letting you down?"
And each time I will fall short of your glory
How far will forgiveness abound?
Through this song, I realized that as His child, I've sinned many times. That I keep on letting him down with my mistakes. And even ask him, if He's not tired of me, who continuously makes mistakes over and over again.
And You answer, "My child, I love you.
And as long as you're seeking my face
You'll walk in the power of My daily sufficient grace."
But this is His greatest answer. That He loves me and even called me his child. And I can say, His love for us is so pure and unconditional. He's so patient with us. And as long as we seek Him daily, we continuously acquired the power of His grace.
For who am I to serve You?
I know I don't deserve You.
And that's the part that burns in my heart
And keeps me hanging on.
I don't deserve God, His love, His forgiveness but by His grace, I was able to experience it all.
As I walk with You, I'm learning
What Your grace means
The price that I could never pay
Was paid in Calvary
So instead of trying to repay You
I'm learning to simply obey You
By giving up my life for You,
For all that You've given to me.
There's no way we can repay what God had done to us. But what we can do is honor Christ's sacrifices by simply obeying His commandments while we walk this journey, called life.
Conclusion:
There is no human being who didn't sin. All of us have sinned from the beginning. But God's grace is sufficient for all his children. Let's follow what our God commands us to walk life in the power of His daily sufficient grace.
I would like to thank @ninahaskin for this wonderful question and invite @cthings, @chileng17, and @jijisaurart to join this contest.
Love lots,
