I am not a new year freak; it is probably just the continuation of the previous day, but what I am grateful for is the preservation of my life by God, as I know I would not be here without Him.
Nonetheless, I am probably only excited about the tag "2025" because it is the official bull run year. We have been making a lot of predictions and analyses about what prices will and will not be, and this is finally the year when the market will do its thing while we watch in awe.
Many people will be like "yeeeaaahhh I told you" and some others will be like "oh no, I didn't see this coming". Whatever we do, strap in because you are in for a ride of a lifetime.
I started the first day with a power-up of 200 Hive and I am not sure where or when I will stop in anticipation of the expected blow up this year.
However, I do understand that more Hive power, then more potential Curation rewards, and I'm up for getting some extra curation everyday and I don't mind.
I tried trading with the pumps and dumps that occurred through the Koreans, but I realized I was terrible at it. Rather, I prefer to hold HBD, watch for dips in the price of Hive, and then convert HBD to Hive.
So I mostly watch the price every 3 to 4 hours, and when I see a dip, I simply buy Hive with HBD and leave it there instead of converting it back. So, even if the price drops further, I would not be concerned because the goal is to have them in place for when the price finally skyrockets.
A few Calculations & Possibilities
For example, suppose I convert HBD to Hive at $0.35 after noticing a dip from $0.37, and it eventually goes back up to $0.39.
I would not consider myself a loser because the goal is to buy in the 30s in anticipation of the price increasing by x10.
So losing a few cents will not hurt. Some people have converted their HBD back to Hive at $0.5 So, while they appear to be losing on the surface, they will x6 their investments when Hive reaches $3, which is most likely their goal.
For example a person converted 10k HBD to Hive at $0.5 will get 20k, and let's day they did two years ago. Of course, they have lost some money due to the volatility, but imagine if they would been earning curation rewards with 20k Hive for two years.
Curation Rewards Are Underrated Rewards
An 80k HP can earn you 20 hive curation rewards per day, so a 20k HP will earn 5 per day, and that's 150 Hive per month times the 24 months that they've converted their HBD.
That is approximately 8100 Hive in two years. If you sell this for three dollars, you will make $24,000. If they remove their initial 10k investment, they'll still be making 14k$ in profit.
This is calculating Hive at a price of $3, but it should perform better.
It is a long game, so you are unlikely to achieve it quickly. What I do know is that those who have developed a solid strategy over the last four years will win big.
Of course, they come with risks, uncertainties, and unexpected circumstances, but the truth is that only those who ride the tide will be successful after 2025.
So, even if you lose in the short run trading Hive with HBD, you will eventually win in the long run, which is the goal: lose the smaller battles by chance and win the war.
The goal is to accumulate more Hive before the alt season, which will begin in a few months' time.
Going forward, I want to consume more Crypto content and not just on Hive and interact with other aspects of Web3 and whatever gains I'll accumulate feom these expenditures will come back to Hive (where it all began).
There are some aspects of Web3 I recently discovered that are extremely profitable, but of course, I will need an initial investment and time, and I intend to pursue this aggressively.
There is a lot to learn in web3, and my goal is to start exploring them as soon as I get the initial investment.
I advise you to take risks while you can; everything will change in the blink of an eye, and you will be left behind if you don't start taking risks and making smart decisions.
