The title is much of a clickbait, but calm down, you're about to read something exciting. I got a comment recently from @leogrowth, a probable reminder of the next LPUD which is scheduled to happen tomorrow.
I think I found this to be thoughtful because some people needed that constant reminder. The reason why is that staking second layer tokens would come from a strict place of intention before it can be done.
I could remember when the concept of second-layer tokens came into existence with PAL but mostly, the mindset it created was a get-and-dump thingy. People felt it was just a major way to increase their main coin holdings.
The Idea Of Tokenization
I think this is because back on steem, people weren't educated on the idea of tokenizing a project, a community, or an idea. It was just about having the main Blockchain token and every other thing was a scheme in the grand of things, but then, we've come to see how these project diversifications have given people a purpose, a cause, roles, and quicker recognition.
I felt if that was done enough, then some tokenized projects would have still been here today. However, Hive brought sophistication. The real form of diversity.
For example, a person can be heavily vested in a project like splinterlands and have nothing to do with Hive and one of the reasons why this is so is because gaming is their specialization.
While they're part of the blockchain, the main reason why they're here is to game even with the obvious opportunity to explore other aspects of the blockchain.
I like what the Leo project has done over time.
The project itself has revolutionized and revamped the essence of second-layer practices while giving people a home, a base, or purpose for further establishment. Since it has not come without its flaws.
While the project hasn't been perfect, we can see systemic growth even if this is reflected in the price of the token for quite a long time now. However, I like the constant incentives to keep building.
A Win-Win Situation?
Back to the LPUD which is the Leo Power up day, I think @leogrowth has done something exciting by trying to create a sort of reminder to people about the next power-up day, while there are prizes to go,
I think people who cannot beat the 200 Leo mark should be encouraged to go provided they're powering up, the intent itself is selfless.
Since Incentivization prompts loyalty, I think that giving out these incentives wouldn't last forever.
A Selfless Intent Without Incentives?
This is why I think selfless power-ups can also be promoted especially ones that aren't backed by the dogged resolve to earn huge delegations.
I think the Leo would become better over time, it's going to be a collective work because one man doesn't define the progress or fall of a project unless you're Justin Sun.
I like to think anyone who cannot beat the 200 Leo mark should go ahead and still power up even without the idea of being rewarded, take it as a constant way to support your favorite project while growing your own staking goals.
