Warning!!!
This post will have some elements of hopium (hopium means uncalculated optimism based on nothing but pure wishful thinking), so if you can not take the hopium, stop now and do not go any further
Many people have quickly reacted to Hive's pump by hitting the "power-down" button, as have the majority of the people I know and interact with, owing to the arbitrage advantage that comes with these pumps and price declines.
In the past, these classic pumps and dumps were nearly identical. You see a consistent pump for hours, followed by a consistent dump for hours. For reasons I do not understand, the classic "Hive P & D" propelled by Koreans does not exhibit the same behavior in this cycle.
In the past, there was "Up up up up up" and "down down down down"; rinse and repeat until you hit an ATH. This cycle has followed a different pattern. It is been more of a heartbeat, like "Up up down down up up down down down Up down", and so on.
If you are a wise man or woman, you will notice that arbitrage is difficult when the patterns are irregular. I tried playing the arbitrage game and failed miserably.
Shout-out to the true masters of arbitrage; some of these guys have managed to increase their Hive power by trading on the internal market, and the benefit of this is that they will be able to own more cheaper Hive that will be x10 the price at market peak.
Arbitrage opportunities are the most cost-effective ways to increase your stake, but you will need technical knowledge to do so. So what did I actually do? What I do is buy Hive using HBD.
Whether I buy at 0.3$, 0.4, or 0.6$, the ultimate goal is for the price to reach 4 or 5$ at the peak of the bull market. (Remember, this is a reasonable or realistic prediction; I will get to the hopium soon.)
Personally, I know I can do better with arbitrage opportunities, but I have sucked at it due to the irregularities of these pumps, so I have resorted to piling up Hive.
For me, I powered up at the 20c range, and still powered up at the 40c range, why? Curation rewards. While others can basically power down and make more stakable Hive, I do mine in a different way: leave it all powered up and still continue earning more curation rewards.
At 0.6$, it makes sense to power down Hive in order to gain more through arbitrage; however, if you are not doing it for arbitrage, I believe you will be left out when the true rally begins, and I do not think you want to miss out on that rally.
Personally, I choose not to power down yet, Why? I suck at arbitrage, and secondly, I want to continue to be able to give and receive support via my Hive power; all of these are compounding tactics that I will not bother explaining because I believe you all understand them.
The third reason is that having liquid Hive may tempt me to play the arbitrage game, and to me, every tiny piece of Hive means a lot, and I will not want to lose any Hive right now, not even $0.02.
I Want To FUD you; I am sorry, but I have to
At $0.6, I believe we have only just begun. If you sold your stash at 0.16 because you thought we were already dead, I feel sorry for you. Here's what you are going to miss. You will miss out on the opportunity to purchase HBD and then use it to buy back cheap Hive years later.
Second, you will most likely lose the support of the accounts that have previously supported you, and third, you will miss out on the opportunity to benefit from the current run.
Apparently it is the consequences of giving up on Hive too soon, and while you might do it right and make it to 2029, what are the chances that any of us will still be around in 2029? Have this as some food for thought.
Finally, some hopium
Congratulations if you managed to hold even when we were at 0.16 and sinking.
Do you remember the scene in Titanic where a group of musicians gathered to play a hymn while the ship was sinking?
They did not try to flee or join the chaos; instead, they surrendered and held out until the end.
Fortunately, we did not sink completely, and we are still here. In crypto there's reward for survival. When you survive, you will have the opportunity to see another day.
We have seen another day, and we may die another day, but there is sunshine today, and it is looking good. In reality, we can easily do 8 to 10 dollars in price, and at this current price, we are around 18 to x19. It is feasible, given that a harder pump could occur between Q2 and Q3.
Back to reality.
Apparently, the most realistic price we could get is around $5 to $6.
This is x2 from the previous ATH and at these prices you can have enough HBD to make you a new dolphin, a stronger dolphin, a new orca, a double or triple orca and a few accounts can even become newer whales by 2028.
While repeating the process and increasing their stash. The Hive game is not difficult; you simply need incredible stiffness, patience, and the right strategies. So, why sell at 0.6 when 6$ could be coming soon?
