Your Reality Vs Your Faith & Expectations

in #hive-1538502 years ago

In reference to this post I like to think that we're living on the cusp of reality, and every negative human action comes with some form of consequences or retribution even if the Divine touch of God was present, having Hope that the consequences of one's actions would not suffice because they believe in God is stupidity.

In my life, I've come to accept who and what I am. I fight unseen battles daily, sometimes it makes me question the essence of life. Why is it fair for someone to live with the consequences of the bad choices of others? Wouldn't it be good to be cut some slack, or will it be hard for life to be fair and grant us culpable deniability?

When life becomes unfair, we begin to ask rhetorical questions.

It's common for people to blame God for war, famine, and destruction, meanwhile, some of the primary causes of these things are "humans". A lot of people do not want to accept the principles that govern reality. Every bad choice comes with a consequence and no matter the better choices subsequently, we cannot still overturn the consequences of the bad choices we've made earlier.

Ignorance is believed to be the reason for some of the most unthinkable mistakes made by people. Some people consciously do things without weighing the advantages or disadvantages to see if it's going to be worth it, they go on head-on without taking to heart what might happen.

Underrating The Power Of Dominion

Most times, the things we ask God for are already in our possession. One of the reasons we are the smartest beings in the universe is because of the mental capacity we possess, we possess the dominion to make or mar ourselves and our universe, and until people begin to consider the aspect of consequences before they make decisions, people will always keep blaming God when some bad human creates earth-rippling consequences

Life can't be fair, it's the reality we live in and even Divine intervention is limited to some extent. In my life, I've come to accept, that I might never be who I truly want.

Faith Vs Reality

This isn't because I'm faithless, but because I understand the fabrics of reality and why we shouldn't mess with things expecting the consequences to never suffice. This is why I try to differentiate hope from fantasy. One is viable, one is not. Holding on to the fantasy is fatal, keying into reality might be harsh, but you need that check to keep you aware.

It's hurting to never be able to make some of the mistakes of my peers. I know people who think I can ride to the sun because of the supposed potential they think they see in me. But most of the time, I'm always making decisions towards stability, viability, or even choices to establish some certain level of certainty.

Of a truth, I'm not complaining

nevertheless, this doesn't mean I don't slip into a cocoon of imagination, where I constantly keep wishing everything could be different. Moreover, we cannot stop ourselves from the act of comparison, even when we know we shouldn't.

However, one of the things I've come to realize is that even if I'd eventually adhere to my wiles and compare myself to people who I think are having it better than me, then it's best to also compare myself to those who are in my shoes, but their situation is worse. This would help me establish closure because one of the most difficult things to achieve in life is the acceptance of one's default situation.

I am appreciative of life.

I'm happy to be here, holding my ground in unbelievable ways. There are many times hope has kept me going, there are so many things I'm grateful for. Completely understanding one's physical and psychological anatomy is important, because this helps in recognizing strengths and weaknesses.

I wake up every day appreciative of what I have and why I am here, even though most of the people who didn't give me a chance are no longer here. In essence, we cannot change the default conditioning which we're born into, despite our faith or hope, reality always wins. This doesn't mean you shouldn't believe in miracles, you should. This is just to say that we shouldn't go beyond the tethers of what's viable and expect an overhaul.

It's kind of a wake up call when you're aware of the disconnect between your reality and your expectations. What I still can't fathom is the mismatch between one's potential and the little ability or inability to achieve it. You see people with huge potential but they don't have a way to achieve it. I mean why born with all this potential if there won't be a way to realize it? It's like putting the right seed in the wrong soil. The chances of that seed sprouting is very slim.

Well the truth is that, I believe the creator's ways are sometimes incomprehensible to man, sometimes it's unfair reality that we cannot completely achieve our potentials. But it's saddening like you've pointed out and no one should be meant to live their lives without fufiliing their potentials.

Sure, many things are beyond the mind and logical reasoning and these things are one of them. I used to have the hypothesis that if you put past lives into the picture then you could say that these people might have done 'something bad' in the past so they're are paying for it in this life but the thing is that nobody can objectively proof that past lives exist.

Hahaha well this is another angle to look at it. Although we all have come to understand that life is unfair and sometimes we even spend time wondering why it's so. Why can't good be rewarded with good and bad with bad

It's safe to say, we cannot completely understand life in totality..

Estoy de acuerdo contigo, excelente blog

The reality that exists within abiding faith is far more powerful than "reality" as we know it...

You are Right. I like your blog

True we are optimistic and wish we can control reality to favour our fantasies but as rightly said, we can hope in optimism but understand that reality exists not necessarily to our favour.
There's a saying that life's not fair.

Not necessarily subjecting to above quote but understanding that there are some things beyond our control

Very well and for me, I believe that in as much as we do have our faith in the Supreme being, we should also note that he has given us our will without question. Alongside, there are laid down rules to support or disregard our actions. So sometimes, instead of actually doing due diligence as to what steps we want to take, we just take action and leave everything in the hands of faith and God; even when the rules are quite glaring.

I very agree with what you said concerning the fact that reality is just what it is: reality.

Hmmm! This is very deep. You are right about these. There are difference between faith and what we call reality. Sometimes we as humans take the two for each other forgetting the fact that reality will surely be and faith stands on it own. Our faith depends on us because sometimes we can have a weak faith about something and which may not turn out to work fine for us and in the reality, things that are of reality will surely come because they are bound to happen

In a nutshell, we can't get everything we want or we think we need. Sadly we have to just keep imagining some certain things because we can never get them, not because we can't because we shouldn't.

Life is unfair most times according to us humans but what if it's the other way around? Lolz I just thought of that now, well I think there is something to life being unfair as we presume but in all, Paul who happens to be an apostle advised us that in all things we should give thanks and we should rejoice always and that's because we have hope. At that time Paul told us to give thanks always, he was having a serious health problem and whenever he prayed to God, God tells him his grace was sufficient for him.

The true is, if it was most of us today, we might have stopped believing in God because Paul was someone that served God until the day he died. He obeyed God but that one thing that he asked of God, God didn't grant it to him and to us, that is unfair but it shows that God is God, he sees all things, knows all things and can do all things so we just have to trust and obey his judgments because they are what we really need.

At some point in my life, I also had to accept that I might not get all that I do desire and I try to just do my best and stay happy.

Thank you so much for exercising my mind with this interesting content, I love it, I was not planning to read it before but somehow I did, lol.

Life's generally unfair and sometimes I feel like it's what I even need the most that I don't have. I think I am someone who is always satisfied with the access I can get to the things I can get. Gaining the whole world or having everything in life isn't even my aim. This is because having everything comes with a curse. At all point in time I believe that, I'm a living testimony and for this I often glorify God at all times. Another thing is that, our minds are limited to what we know. There are things beyond human comprehension that we know. This is why I keep my life simple, live, learn, be appreciative and aim for contentment. I feel like soon I'll get to this level in life.

Thank you for a actually taking the time to read it. I like writing reflective post, especially when I'm not writing finance, and sometimes it's always good to have someone thinking and relating to the post with the same wavelength.

This is a good one and I'm sure you will achieve contentment because you want to, living a life when you don't get to worry about all the many things you don't have, you couldn't get and just being grateful and happy for the many you also have.

Yeah, I most times can flow with your writing but that's when I put my mind on it and that's why I don't stop by all the time because I don't feel like reading, hehe. But I'm always happy when I give time to reading from you, I always have something to learn.
