Good morning members of this great family. It's my pleasure to have you here in this space. Once again, you're welcome to my blog.
It's a beautiful day, and I have beautiful things for you.
It's been a while since I shared my view about God and who he is. I think people, are still worrying why it's so. Well, I decided to take a break, but trust me I'm back.
I will be sharing my thoughts with you on what I caption: Why God delays the answers to our prayers. If you're someone who prays every day, you can attest that it's not all your prayers that are always answered by God.
I don't want you to be disturbed anymore. I'm here to make you know why it's always so, with the help of the holy spirit. I can't explain it to your understanding without the holy spirit. The holy spirit is my teacher.
So, I want you to relax your mind and continue reading till the end. Trust me, all those questions you ask God in secret, would be answered now.
What Is Delay?
Delay refers to a moment or situation whereby something is been postponed to a particular time because of some circumstances that surround it.
Things are been delayed because of how it is.
Some people might fix a meeting with some of their friends without having a reasonable reason for doing that. In such a case, such a meeting would be delayed, so that the main reason could be sorted out.
What I've just spoken about is what humans could do.
But the one I'm more concerned about is God's divine delay. If God delays the answer to your prayers, don't be too angry about it. That happened for a purpose.
I want to tell you two things that make God delay answers to our prayers. I will be using the words "Wait and No" to explain my points.
You might wonder how these two words relate to the topic I'm writing about, but I bet you they have a lot to do with this topic I'm writing about.
I would love to start with the first one which is "Wait"
In actual sense, if you demand money from your biological father, and the response you get from him is, wait, what will you do?
Will you kill him for asking you to wait, or you will wait as he said?
Him asking you to wait doesn't mean he won't give you what you want. He wants to see how obedient you will be.
The same thing applies to God. God wants to test our obedience to his word every passing day. He knows what is good for us. But, the way we act when our prayers are not answered is irritating.
The word wait is a simple instruction from God, but oftentimes, we refuse to adhere to this instruction, and that is why our prayers are still hanging in the air. It will remain like that if we don't change our attitudes toward God.
(2) No. This one is a very big issue amongst Christians. There are certain things you demand from God, and he says no to them.
For him to say no, it means what you're demanding is armful, or maybe at your age, you won't be able to handle it even if he gives it to you.
This is why, when some people demand wealth, God decides to give it to them. But all of a sudden, all the wealth vanished away, and they started blaming witches and wizards. They're not the cause of your misfortune, but you're the cause.
We must learn to stop where God asks us to stop. If he says no to us, let's know that he's preventing us from being hurt.
I want to conclude by telling us a true life story that I heard a few years ago. It was a sad one indeed. I want to share it here because, it has something to do with the first thing I mentioned, which was "wait".
There was a certain young man who went through so many challenges in life. He didn't have anyone to help him get rid of his problems.
So, he decided to approach God in prayer. God told him to wait, and he said okay. He continued to wait probably about three years, and he didn't see any changes in his life.
He thought of how to take away his life because God wasn't faithful to him. He entered his backyard and committed suicide.
The story has it that when he died, he went straight to the judgment throne. But while he was on his way, he saw an angel of the lord passing, with some gifts in his hands.
Immediately, the angel passed by, and he saw him. He called him by his name, and he responded. The angel asked him what he was doing there, and he told him he was dead.
The angel was confused. He asked him who was responsible for his death, and he told the angel, he committed suicide.
That was when the angel told him that what he was carrying was the answer to his prayers. And since he was no longer in existence, he had to return them to God.
I guessed he regretted his actions, but it was already late.
Let's learn to listen to his voice. If your prayers are delayed, it doesn't mean God, has forgotten about you. You too, need to work on yourself.
