Hello, Hivers around the world! I hope you are all doing fine and that everything is good in your end.
This post is not to brag but I am doing this to appreciate life and how far I had come from the start.
##I finally bought some Grapes and not just one but two kilos!
Some of you may laugh at me but here where I am, I don't see much grapes being sold. Perhaps I saw them sold on the store three-4 years ago mostly during Christmas and New Year season and mind you, they are expensive, at least for me. On the first year, Grapes were sold about 300 pesos per kilo, that's about 6 US dollars and back then, I don't have the capacity to buy some back then.
There was even a time, it was new year and all my daughter asked me for that time was Grapes (she saw my aiater buy one but aince it was not ours, she only had a few) and when I passed by on a fruit stall, I bought he about 10 pieces since it's the only quantity my money can buy. Life is hard back then; we only have little income and we are forcing ourselves to invest making it hard. I got guilty for that and started to wish I am financially stable that I could buy what my kid wants especially when it's good for them and buy the food we don't usually buy but like.
Well today is not my first time buying grapes after all but this is my first time buying grapes this much.
Back to the grapes, I honestly couldn't afford grape prices from fruit stalls, they are still sold aboit 6 US dollars, a bit affordable nbut not my priority and then two days ago, my co- worker offered me the grapes she is selling and it was priced lower than the fruit stalls and I immediately bought two. Imagine, fruit stalls sells grapes for 300-350/ kilo and my co-worker sells them for 170/kilo!
I was very excited of the grapes but it took me two days to wait since she is far from me and needs the feed delivery truck so she could load them back when it comes here in my workplace but it's worth the wait!
I was mesmerized on how beautiful the grapes were when it came and how it tastes, very delicious!
You may be wondering what drove me to make this post, here is the reason.
Recently, I saw some posts on social media sites about people who are appreciating the little success they had and most of the posts, I can relate because I experienced them back then when life was hard and I still cannot make money nor I knwo how to make any.
Here is one of the post that cut deep in me
"Di na marami ang tubig sa (instant) noodles"
Instant noodes are common food for poor people like me and back then, when I was little, we buy instant noodles so we could have viand to pair rice with and we purposely add more water so we could divide the soup and have little noodles and still, we get full. Instant noodles are cheap, the curent price is 11 pesos and it's affordable for everyone who are on a tight budget and a go-to for most people who wanted to survive life.
The post made me reflect what happened in my life during the yeara that passed. I had gone far from where I started and I still wanted to go farther. I can now buy food and things that I want but the real goal is to be financially stable not only for me but also for my family.
What about you, do you buy grapes often? Are you still struggling to be financially stable or you already are?
Di na rin ba marami ang tubig sa instant noodles mo?
