It's time to share our recent guild brawl results as of August 14, 2022.
Our score tied with SPLINTERLANDS.RU but since we have higher guild ranks, we managed to secure the top spot.

Tier-breaker rules for Brawl (in-order):

  1. Guild with the highest points
  2. Guild with the fewest losses
  3. Guild with the highest ranks (before the start of the brawl)
  4. If still tied, the winner is decided randomly

Match Analysis

Let's move on to quick summary of my matches to check what happened during the match and on how we can improved our winrate if in case we encounter the same scenario

Match 1: https://splinterlands.com?p=battle&id=sm_M8aIddjZ56l3ahDQGjpK&ref=jpleron

Sneaky Peaky!!!

In this match, the ruleset are Super Sneak and Odds One Out with 15 mana capacity.

Odds One Out limit us from using monster with odd mana cost only. This gives us a few option to select our line-up. The Super Sneak ruleset provides melee monsters with Sneak ability, to attack the enemy monsters at the back.

To counter the sneaky attacks, I placed Chaos Agent with Dodge ability to have increase chance of evading those attacks.

Slow Magic!!!

The ruleset are Back to Basics and Reverse Speed so it means that monsters with Magic damage are on-demand. We also had a 44 mana cap for this battle so I planned to go for a Dragon Splinter, unfortunately I only have Quix the Devious as the Summoner. Since Quix reduces the speed of enemy monsters, it's somehow advantageous with them due to the Reverse Speed rule.

Pick your Poison

brawl3.gif

It was Noxious Fumes with Broken Arrows with a 17 mana cap with only Dragon and Earth splinters available. I opted to go for Earth splinter with Spirit Hoarder to heal the backline while Venator Kinjo placed at the last position hoping all my enemy monsters dies from Poison. With the poison rule, having a monsters with Cleanse or Immunity is the top priority, then abilities like Tank Heal, Heal, or Triage is also good to recover the damage dealt by poison. Then if you still don't have it then getting a monster with high health hoping to be the last one to survive from being poison.

High Mana but no Archers

brawl4-2.gif

Even though we have no Ranged Monsters because of the Broken Arrows, I still chose Quix the Devious since I don't have any other Dragon Summoners at Silver league level. Using Dragons is one of the best option for me since I don't have any other monsters with high mana cap.

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Hearthstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using blockchain technology, players can buy, sell, and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
