Don't worry. A better one Is coming!!

Well, I didn't know what to do when I woke up! The last thing I remember that early Sunday morning was that I came to study that last night with my PC! But it was no more now!

Before I continue my story, let me ask this question; have you ever lost something you know that you can't replace easily? How did you feel when you realized that?

For me, I was down! I could feel my tears but I couldn't cry it out! I was speechless and confused because I didn't know that such would happen to me that day. It was totally unexpected 😯

Here's how it happened. I was never the type who loved to study at night in the classroom. I prefer reading during the day then having my rest at night. Here on the campus, we have two sets of students! Yes, we have the night-class readers and the daytime readers. The night class readers go to the classroom in the evening and study till daybreak, then come to the hostel very early in the morning to sleep before going to class for lectures.
While the day readers read in the day, making sure they utilise their time very well that day to cover enough!

As for me, I'm not a lover of night classes. But that Saturday night, I decided to go to night class. And to be honest, I DIDN'T plan to do that beforehand. It was actually an impulse for me since I didn't know any other place I could sleep that night. What happened? Oh, the school management who was in charge of the hostel asked us to leave the hostel for them to fumigate the rooms. This is done whenever a new session wants to begin.

So that night, I was not ready to go home because I had my exams still going on and again, it was not the right thing to do at that moment.
Hence, this was how I decided to spend the night in one of the classrooms.

To cut the whole story short, I saw some students who were in the same shoes as me, so I decided to join them in the classroom. Although we were just a few in that room, I could count how many we were in there that night.

I sat on a seat not too close to the window with my backpack which contained my laptop, the bread I was going to eat in the morning, my notebooks which were very important for my upcoming exam, and my documents with few clothes. These were the things I came with that night.

The funny thing was that I didn't even read for a very long time before I realized that I was feeling sleepy already. I couldn't help it but to sleep on the seat, with my backpack very close to me. That was how I dozed off!
When I finally woke up, it was raining heavily, and everywhere was still dark. I think I didn't sleep very well because I wasn't comfortable on that seat. When I got myself very well, I realized that my backpack was missing! Ahh, it was like a dream to me.

I stood up from my seat and went back to the seats behind me to check properly maybe I had mistakenly dropped the backpack in another chair or something! But I couldn't see it. That was when I realized that somebody had stolen the backpack. I didn't know what to do at that moment because my head seemed to have become empty. I couldn't think very well. All I did was ask those in the room with me to help check if they saw any backpack that did not belong to them.

My dear, that was how I lost my PC! And for those clothes and documents, the thief Left them for me outside the door where I could find them. I assume he knew those were so important to me! So I picked the ones I could find and sat back to think of what to do next! A sad day for me and a bitter morning to start with.

Luckily enough, my phone was not taken. Why? Well I put my phone in my inner boxer before I slept off. God saved me from that one.
After spending time thinking of what to do, no reasonable idea came up. I left that place and returned to the hostel although it was still locked by that time I got there. I freshened up and then left for church because it was Sunday morning.

The peace of mind I needed that day was what I found after the Sunday service. At least the preaching I heard that day consoled my heart and I wasn't feeling much about the loss that day. And I also decided to forget everything and not to inform my friends or anyone around me about what happened. Yes, I wanted to avoid blame and the remembrance of what happened from people, so I decided to sweep the matter under the carpet!!

This was the greatest loss of my life since that very day! But for the person who achieved (stole) the backpack and the PC, I prayed for him. And this was what I said, May he or she be forgiven!!

Alright, friends, this situation can happen to anyone else but having a strong heart to resist any negative thoughts and knowing that better things are yet to come will really help save a lot of things at that moment. You might find it difficult to replace that which you have lost but that is not the end of life. Tomorrow has a lot to unfold and who knows, it might favour you!
Always remember that life is full of ups and downs and we can't help it!!
Even though I have not replaced the laptop yet, I have this hope that one day, I'll get a new one which will be far better than the one I lost!!!
