1. Every cloud has a silver lining.
Hello, HIVE!
I'm a little sad today. The leaves of the rose that I re-potted a few weeks ago all dried up. And, except for one stem, the main stem seemed dry and almost dead. I don't know. I'm not sure what happened. Maybe it was because of the hot and humid days last week, or the rainy days that followed, or both. Still, I'm hoping that this is a temporary setback to my #plantito journey and that the rose bush that I'm dreaming of will still see the light of day. I moved the rose to a different location so that the sun won't be too harsh even in the afternoon when it is the hottest and keeping an eye on it more than ever. Anyways, I'm keeping my fingers crossed on this one. ✌️✌️✌️
2. Leaves and Layers
The crawling (or climbing) plant that just grew out of nowhere and is moving up our water tank is beginning to really grow. I mean they are big leaves. But, I have to say that it is growing on me (pun intended. lol). I was meaning to remove it a few days back, but now I'm more inclined to let it stay lest it becomes to big or invades our house. I get to see it outside of the window where I work on blog posts and read articles for curation, so I don't mind seeing it there. It even helps my eyes to relax whenever I stay on the computer for a long time.
3. Crab Claw Plant
I absolutely love the colors of this Crab Claw Plant. I posted about seeing a few of them in our neighbors front yard, but I didn't realize that we also had them. The neighbor explained to me that it might not be getting enough sunlight so our plant is not producing flowers. I guess that isn't the case anymore. This made me happy. Now, I can get some of it whenever.
Conclusion
I really find it nice to be working with plants and flowers. Nature has a way of affecting human beings and bring certain emotions to surface. Even if I was saddened by the rose bush that I wanted to grow, another plant made me smile and I felt better because of it, which really makes it a great way to spend the day. Growing plants and taking care of nature equals happy life. Well, not entirely, but it helps. And in these times, anything that helps keep your mental health in the right balance is a blessing. 😊
That's it for now. Thanks for dropping by. Love and peace!
