Welcome to another exciting edition of this gospel as brought to us by Brother @jude101. The topic of today’s gospel is "Why Do People Suffer Tribulation?"
Suffering is one of the great mysteries of life, and many often wonder why they go through trials and hardships. As believers, we must understand that tribulation is not meaningless; rather, it serves a divine purpose.
James 1:2-3 "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance."
In this verse, we are reminded that trials are not meant to break us but to strengthen our faith. God allows tribulations to refine us, just like gold is purified through fire. Without trials, our faith would remain weak, but through challenges, we grow spiritually.
Romans 8:1 "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."
This scripture reassures us that whatever suffering we endure now is temporary compared to the eternal reward that awaits us. The pain and struggles of this world cannot be compared to the joy we will experience in God’s kingdom.
God Uses Tribulation to Draw Us Closer to Him
Psalm 34:17-18 "The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit."
Many times, suffering brings us to a point where we seek God more earnestly. It humbles us and reminds us that we cannot do life on our own. Instead of running away from God in times of trouble, we should run to Him, for He is our refuge.
Tribulation Produces Endurance and Character
Hardships shape our character. They teach us patience, humility, and reliance on God. Without struggles, we would not grow in strength or wisdom. God uses trials to mold us into the people He wants us to be.
