ENTREGA DE CALIFICACIONES DE PREESCOLAR (ESP/ENG)

El día de ayer nos citaron a los padres de familia en la escuela de mi hijo, un poco antes de que iniciaran las clases para darnos las calificaciones, esto fue rápido ya que aún no estamos librados del Coronavirus y en la escuela quieren evitar las aglomeraciones por mucho tiempo. Me entregaron una carpeta con las calificaciones y algunas notas de las materias de español, matemáticas e inglés, en las cuales mi niño salía excelente. Cabe mencionar que al ser preescolar no califican del 1-10, sino que es por aptitudes o logros.

Yesterday the parents of the family were summoned to my son's school, a little before classes started to give us the grades, this was quick since we are not yet free of the Coronavirus and at school they want to avoid crowds for a long time. They gave me a folder with the grades and some notes of the subjects of Spanish, mathematics and English, in which my child was excellent. It is worth mentioning that since they are preschool they do not qualify from 1-10, but it is based on aptitudes or achievements.

Me sentí bastante feliz y orgullosa porque la maestra me felicitó, ya que mi hijo es el mejor de su clase. En su salón tienen juntos a primero y segundo año porque en estos grados hay muy pocos niños, sin embargo a cada grado les ponen sus actividades diferentes; me comentó la maestra que Adam se desespera porque quiere aprender más rápido y todo lo de primer grado le parece muy fácil de aprender, que ya quiere empezar con los temas de segundo, algunas veces se pone a hacer las actividades de segundo grado y que incluso ha superado a los niños mayores 🥰

I felt quite happy and proud because the teacher congratulated me, since my son is the best in his class. In their classroom they have first and second grades together because in these grades there are very few children, however, they put different activities on each grade; The teacher told me that Adam is desperate because he wants to learn faster and everything in the first grade seems very easy to learn, that he already wants to start with the second grade subjects, sometimes he starts doing the second grade activities and that even has surpassed the older children.

Realmente tanto mi esposo como yo nunca le hemos exigido a Adam que sea el mejor o que aprenda más, creemos que por ejemplo para los exámenes debe haber aprendido durante todo el curso y no solamente estudiar para pasar, lo importante es que realmente esté aprendiendo. Además creemos que nuestro hijo es mucho más valioso por lo que es y no por una calificación, sin embargo claro que queremos que aprenda muchas cosas, pero no de forma forzada sólo para pasar el año. Aún así, Adam nos ha demostrado que tiene una gran capacidad de aprendizaje, es rápido para aprender y se le facilita hacer todo, también tiene sus momentos de distracción como todo niño, pero sabe recordar las cosas y retenerlas.

Actually, both my husband and I have never demanded Adam to be the best or to learn more, we believe that, for example, for exams he must have learned throughout the course and not just study to pass, the important thing is that he is really learning. We also believe that our son is much more valuable for what he is and not for a grade, however of course we want him to learn many things, but not in a forced way just to get through the year. Even so, Adam has shown us that he has a great capacity for learning, he is quick to learn and it is easy for him to do everything, he also has his moments of distraction like any child, but he knows how to remember things and retain them.

Cuando llegó de la escuela lo felicité y le dije que estábamos muy orgullosos de él, que lo amabamos y así sería siempre, aunque sea el mejor o el peor de la clase, que siempre lo apoyaríamos, pero estábamos felices por su esfuerzo y por eso le hice de comer sus cosas favoritas 🥰 (fresas, jugo de verduras, sopita de fideos, pepinos, entre otras cosas que no son sus favoritas jeje).

When he got home from school I congratulated him and told him that we were very proud of him, that we loved him and that it would always be so, even if he was the best or the worst in the class, that we would always support him, but we were happy for his effort and for that I made him eat his favorite things (strawberries, vegetable juice, noodle soup, cucumbers, among other things that are not his favorites hehe).
