Have you ever been caught smiling widely, giggling uncontrollably, or even downright laughing out loud while on your device (phone, laptop or tablet)? And the person who catches you looks at you like you've gone insane? If so, it's highly likely you are a Dreemer on a Challenge.
Because for the last two weeks, that's been me. And I am a loud and proud Dreemer!

Right now, the Dreemers of DreemPort are at the end of week 2 of the Ecency DreemPort Challenge. You can read about this week's challenge here.
For the second week the teams got expanded to double the fun. The Sooper Snail Duo, that's me and @mcyusuf, were joined by
@samsmith1971 and @penderis, The Writers 'nd a Half. Penderis fondly described Sam on his blog post as:
a nice, outdoorsy, multi faceted academic with karate skills
While Sam said of Pen:
that guy that runs and owns the #fuckit community
All three of my comrades in arms are part of the Dreem Teem and they do sooooooo much to keep things running smoothly, often in the background. So, as well as keeping up with the challenge, they've been working like crazy on a whole bunch of other things.
That has not stopped them, however, from having so much fun this week. And like everyone else they've been Boosting with their Ecency Points. At least that is, unless Cap'n Dreemie herself got their first! (Hey, Sam? 😂)
Boost a Teem Mate
On Day 1 the team decided we'd divvy up our Boosts between each other.
Pen to Boost me.
Me to Boost Sam.
Sam to Boost McYusuf.
McYusuf to Boost Pen.
And when you look at it like that, it looks easy-peasy lemon squeezy! Don't ya think? But then that doesn't take into account the pirate ways of one Miss Dreemsteem who snuck in and nabbed MC's post while our Sam was sleeping.
Or, when you Boost a post and feel warm and content, only to find the next day you wanna cry 'cos you see your Ecency points have been refunded. Sorry Sam, I did try.
The upside to this, is that now I know how to boost, I know I'll be able to boost and boost and boost some more! Just waiting for Sam's next post (and there better not be any pirates around!). 😂😂😂
Boost a Newbie
On Day 2 of the challenge I really felt the love behind @unklebonehead's #leadingwithgenerosity. It was such fun to go exploring and look at lots of introduction posts from new Hiveans and begin engaging and sharing the love. My chosen newbie was @dystop303, an extremely talented digital artist that just blew me away. You should go and visit their post and check out their amazing visuals. If you like sci-fi and need inspiration for a story, you won't be disappointed.
Boost a Community
We had a teem huddle regarding the community we wanted to sprinkle our boosts upon and decided (thanks Sam) on The Thoughtful Daily Posts community.
However, the Ecency gods were not looking down on me favourably and so, although I boosted two separate posts, here and here. It was just not meant to be. However, there's no reason that you can't go and share a little love with these two lovely and thoughtful Hiveans.
It was disappointing to find my boosts get bounced back and that these two posts didn't get the love they deserved but it was still fun finding them and exploring another community. And that is what it's all about folks. I went, I explored and I commented making more connections and finding out how to use my Ecency points to sprinkle love all across Hive.
Boost a Friend
This was possibly the best boost of all because when it came right down to it, I had soooo many choices. In the end I picked two: @insaneworks and @dreemsteem.
Insaneworks is one of my buddies from the early days and we used to hang out in #DITO (what is now called #WOTW - word of the week). He has a fantastically creative mind and is just super-duper. Not only did I engage with his post and show him love via my boosting options, I introduced him to @dystop303, and we both wrote in @wrestlingdesires fantastic weekly post, Let Our Picture Tell Your Story where InsaneWorks was crowned as the victor for his incredible poem.
And then there's Dreemie herself, the Queen of Dreemers, the Cap'n of Challenges, the Booster Extraordinaire who leads with generosity every step of the way. She's one in a million and the post I boosted was for her first #ttt post for Three Tunes Tuesday. Thank you goes out to @tengolotodo for inspiring both of us. I'll be writing my first #ttt next week.
All in all, the second week of this challenge has been delightful. It was great hanging with my teem. It was fun exploring and interacting with more amazing peeps here in Hive. And, incredibly, all this happened while I've been learning more and more about the Ecency frontend. I've even been having a rather interesting conversation with arcange about poetry. He writes the binary kind.
I can't wait to read all the other Dreemers' posts and find out how their week went. But...Make sure no one Boosts @samsmith1971's post. It's mine! Hahahahaha!
