Throwback Thursday My WednesdayWalk That MakeMeSmile

in #hive-1413593 years ago

Hello everybody,

Last night when I cleaned up my gallery I came across my pictures when we were still living in Olongapo City. As you may know, we lived there for 23 long years, I considered our 2nd home. I missed much my friends especially Alice. I can't forget my debt of gratitute to her. She was 10 yrs older than me and we have the same hobbies, crocheting. But, when I met here that time she have eye problem so she just ordered from me crocheted bags, shawl, socks and many more. She also gave me lots, lots of yarns and crocheted books/magazines.

In 2008, my mother was stroked, I need to take care for her. I looked for a rented house that was just near the hospital. Timely, Alice next neighbor have a vacant space. So, we became neighbors. She was so generous. When she cooked especially soup, she gave my mother always.
One day, after hubby was paid in one of his soil test project, we treated her. I invited her for a snacks. She guided us where to. She brought us to Yena's Kitchen just a small refreshment parlor that served yummy Tacos.

The place is just near Jollibee Rotunda.

This tall building was hubby's soil test project.

After eating we strolled to the park just near the Olongapo Public Market because Alice must buy food stuff. We strolled along this side walk.

All of these I really really missed it.

I also found this picture of me, at Subic Bay Freeport Zone the former US Base. I posed when the US ship dock at the pier.

Nice photos you captured po

These are ovely fond memories, right!? I was there in the base along time ago , our neighbor was a US Navy and invited us to visit the base as well as get inside a U.S. submarine stationed at that time in Subic Bay. We also went swimming in those crystal clear water full of jelly fishes .

Wow! Really! You went inside the submarine! Great experienced. Hala, itchy Ang jelly fishes.

Well we went snorkeling avoiding the jellies, but my friends touched them, ayay!

Good she did not experienced itchiness

Fond memories of younger years. Nice, you have kept those photos.

That sounds like a very special friend. Sometimes the people who randomly enter our lives turn out to become lifelong friends. I have a few close friends in Cambodia who started out as neighbors.

Thanks for posting in the ASEAN Hive Community.
