Hi Hive Lovers
This reptile is one of the coolest pet choices from the omnivore species. But for some people, these unique animals are perceived as dangerous because of their scary looks and appearance.
What do you think? Are they scary or beautiful?
In principle, keeping any animal must have a risk of attack and potentially be dangerous for someone, especially in certain circumstances if the animal is feeling stressed or threatened.
That is why someone who keeps a pet must understand well the character of their pet.
Including for someone who wants to keep an iguana. Good care is care that is in accordance with the character of the iguana, which is very necessary. That goes for every pet, right?
Getting to know a good iguana's personality, starting from their habits and body language to what they like and don't like, will really help an iguana feel comfortable so that they always feel safe and don't feel in danger.
Is an iguana dangerous?
A friend who keeps an iguana that I photographed told me that iguanas have never attacked humans.
For a pet iguana, humans have become their best friend, and they would never attack someone who has taken good care of them. But if you are not their master, then be careful, especially when approaching or holding certain parts of their bodies.
Including wild iguanas, they are never attracted to large prey. That's why they always avoid interaction with humans or other large animals. For them, humans and other large animals are actually a threat. So, never try to approach or touch a wild iguana.
For me personally, I have been and will be very careful when dealing with a tame animal, let alone a wild animal. Whatever the conditions, any animal must have a risk of attacking someone and be potentially dangerous for anyone, especially if it is feeling stressed or threatened. So just be careful.
