A thought came over me when I was in office today to write on overcoming mental stress because I had been a victim.
Here is my definition of mental stress, causes and its effect on humans if not properly cared for.
Mental Stress
This is a situation whereby one undergoes imbalance in the mental parts of the body obviously the brain.
Sometimes It result into costly reparcaution. I remember vividly my boss was to carry out a transaction for a company, though he was mentally stressed because that was the week he had little issues with a female colleague of mine which his wife later find out.
He mistakenly sent the funds to a wrong person, the sum of NGN200,000 in Nigerian currency. Efforts to track the recipient seem to fail as he was told to make a bank statement contacting a lawyer and other protocols.
Before he could retrieve back the funds certain part was used for expenses which resulted into over NGN50,000 been set aside.
The point I am trying to pass across is that when it comes to a stage where we all feel our brain needs rest, we should not over work ourselves and just give rest to the body.
I will like to state causes of mental stress issue.
Causes of Mental Stress
The following are causes of mental stress to the brain.
Relationship trauma
Almost everyone had experienced this sometime and someday. If you haven’t experienced it then you never understand some people. My partner and I had an issue a certain time and I discovered all through that period sleeping at night was a big issue for me, but with time, things were settled and we still on the process back.
That was when I understood what is called mental health which the body needs.
I will advise young ladies in a relationship, do not allow the weight of mental stress from relationship pull you down.
Spend more time been engaged than idle instead. Though there will still be thought but not as frequent. If you see the need for re uniting.
Where I made mistake was I was in a lonely place alone filled with thought which affected me down to my marrow. But I am fine now.
Work load
It is essential if you are a worker, devote some time for rest when you’ve gotten home.
I shared a story of my friend who had much workload and didn’t care about it despite been ill but she passed away.
In a stressful job, I understand we have to search for more source of income especially as the economy is biting hard; the only remedy I compensate with mental stress as regards work load of job is sleep.
I do not deprive myself of sleep when its time because it helps keep my mental health in a stable condition.
Effects of mental stress
It wears and tears the mental body parts.
Anyone in this condition will lack the capacity to think straight and right. Decision will be taken without proper consideration.
Ends up in regrets
I discovered that actions which occur during mental stress are unfavorable especially as regards relationship. I have seen a woman who landed in police custody because she stabbed her husband.
I also shared a news of a married woman who chased her husband when she sighted her with another lady. She ended up hitting a tree with her car due to speeding and died in the process.
All these are caused by relationship stress which leads to I'll mental status.
These were the summary I have been able to pin down on mental stress, it causes and effect on humans. It is good to stay away from mental stress by not bordering yourself with much thoughts and also getting engaged.
