Hy everyone, I hope you all are having an awesome weekend.
I will like to share with all what transpired between I and my family pet which is the cat.
Cats can be funny sometimes and it’s recommended as a good home pet. What I discovered in the cat, though it’s of the female gender. But everything she does at home, she acts more matured.
She could go far to hunt for prey such as birds or lizards. In fact the lizards around us went on exile, I have never seen any since my return. But she is careful never to harm our birds or steal anything that belongs to us despite been its prey.
She is always remorseful and careful as regards.
I stayed a long time away from home due to school and work and I wasn’t aware of the cat, not until when I returned home I discovered my junior sister bought a cat for the home basically to eliminate rats in the food store.
Each time I come to play with the cat, due to the fact it’s not familiar with me, it makes a humming sound to scare me away meaning it’s not comfortable with my presence.
But I also discovered that anytime it’s hungry and since I came back and my mom isn’t around as usual due to the nature of her new jobs, I have been the one handling the cooking.
When she perceives food is been prepared, she comes around, no more humming sound; she becomes my friend at that time. She could wag her tail for me. She can stay very close to me whenever she sees I am preparing a meal. This is an image of her on the kitchen table whilst I was preparing a meal today.
Then I will forcefully go to her tries to play with her she will be calm at that moment because she knows what she is waiting for.
Even though I try to hum same sound she does to me when I come closer to her, she doesn’t care but still patiently wait proving very innocent.
What do you expect? Hunger makes one very loyal, though we don’t starve her.
In fact I haven’t talk yet about what happens when am done preparing meal.
There was a day she exhibited that attitude and I refuse to dish her meal for her. I went into my room and enjoyed my meal. Then came she quietly, making some funny sounds and at every two meaning she yoans, informing you as you are also hungry, it doesn’t matter if you people have been enemies please give her food.
She use to be very loyal and humble at the point of food.
Not that she is wild; no, she is very quiet and calm. It is the males that do grow wild overtime and you no longer see them at home after sometimes especially if they are big enough to maturity but this cat doesn’t do so.
In fact I am still in selection of the type of name to give her. Yet I wanted to give her a name that matches with her behavior.
Importance of the cat
I found out that since the cat came into our home, story of rats harvoc has been significantly reduced.
The funny aspect with the rats is that they don’t eat poison kept for them, no matter how you garnish the poison meal they won’t come close but the cat has been able to eliminate each an everyone and there are no longer rats in our store.
