This is my first post on the community.
Two years ago, after my first year at university, we had a dinner party to celebrate the end of the year. I remember that day vividly because I didn’t have any clothes to wear, so I ended up borrowing everything from my friends, except for my trousers, which I already had. I was determined not to miss the party.
The event took place at night in a small hall on campus, and it was an incredibly exciting day for me. The hall was beautifully decorated with purple and white.
There were various activities, including singing, dancing, musical chairs, and an awards ceremony.
Although I didn’t win any awards, I did manage to come second in the dancing competition.
There were three boys and three girls who were encouraged (or rather deceived) to come on stage to dance for a chance to win a prize.
As we danced, our coursemates were asked to eliminate the worst dancers among us. I was the second-worst dancer, so I came second.
The reason I say we were deceived is that we were initially told that both the first and second-place winners would receive a gift. However, at the end of the competition, no one was given anything.
Despite the disappointment, I still had a great time at the party. The energy, the laughter, and the chance to unwind with friends after a long year made it all worth it. Even though I didn’t walk away with a prize, the memories I made that night were priceless.
