[Hardcore Minecraft] The hunt for my elusive mineshaft. ⛏

in #hive-14021717 days ago

In my last Minecraft post I was trying to find an abandoned mineshaft I discovered some time ago. Unfortunately, the cavern I'm mining in is absolutely gigantic and easy to get lost in and I just can't find it!

So, the start of today's adventure is trying to find the damned thing.

Why do I want it?

Because I want to transform a cave spider spawner into an XP farm!

I mean, I have found two normal spider spawners.... but.... eh... I guess I'll work with them if I absolutely have to, but in the meantime - cave spelunking time!~

I stumbled down, down, down and found yet another cavern I haven't been in before. And the multitudes of zombies I killed left me a carrot and potato!!

I now have more vegetables for my farms.

And so many diamonds. 😱💎

Funnily enough, I think this is the most I've progressed in any of my Hardcore Minecraft worlds so far. I definitely haven't had that many diamonds before in one of those Hardcore attempts.

I would still really like to find this mineshaft though. Or A mineshaft in general.

However, instead of a mineshaft... I stumbled across one of the new trials xD

Since I'm on hardcore mode and I have no idea what these 'trials' entail, I decided to keep the coordinates and come back to it another time when I feel a little more prepared. There appears to be many enemy spawners in there. 😱

Finally, after many, many hours of searching for this damned thing... I finally found a mineshaft!

I like to think that it's connected to the area I found previously, as it's underground in round-a-bouts' the same area. But I had run out of torches long ago and I was trying to find my way back home to safety... so I quickly screenshotted the coordinates and continued on my way home to restock on torches and supplies.

Once I was all full up, I returned to the mineshaft with ease this time! XD

I made a nice careful entrance, surrounded by torches so I'd never lose it, and I'll connect a path to the rest of my network soon enough... for now, though, it's time to get to work on this dang Cave Spider XP farm!

...safely, of course.

You can see, kinda, the two spawners surrounded by spider web. There were actually three here, but I figured 2 would be good enough for now. I've only ever worked with one at a time before, so it'll be interesting to see how having two spawners affects the farm! 😁

With the area cleaned up and the spawners secured with torches all around them to prevent misadventure and death, I slowly began construction of the room these two spawners will be in.

I'm really not too sure how this is going to work. I've always followed a youtube tutorial to get my cave spider farm up and running. The dude did mention twin spawners at one point, but I'm not sure if he meant two spawners side by side, and not... slightly distant like this.

I could just do a single one like I'm used to, if all else fails. I don't really want to play around with it tooooooooooooo much on hardcore mode.

Either way, after tidying up the area with all the spawners and investigating the huge mineshaft filled with more cave spider spawners than I could've imagined! I got bored and decided to do some other stuff.

Namely looking after my farm animals, chopping trees, and getting some materials to do up some more of my upcoming base.

It all seems to be coming together now. I have a nice area to build and beautify, I have my farmlands to expand and beautify, there's a mansion to explore, a decent area of the Nether to lurk around in, and I have my giant-arse mining cavern filled to the brim with goodies and a future XP farm.

Next on my agenda, apart from finalising the XP farm, is to go flower picking!! I need a bunch of dyes. xD My sheep are too white.

Until next time! 🐷🌱🐣

Hey, those zombies are a problem.... I honestly didn't like playing minecraft much, but I loved the battles against the undead.

Haha, the combat is my least favourite part! XD

This is minecraft right? Do you have any idea what the mobile version is called?

On mobile it's also Minecraft. 🙂 There's probably differently named free generic versions of it though.

Ok I'll look it up, thank you so much

Damn Girl! What are you doing with these many diamonds? xD

Stay safe! (especially from Zombie-alien thingy lol... I should try that texture pack someday)

I'm saving them for a rainy day! XD Always good to have a supply at the ready... I am the resource goblin!

This texture pack is my favourite! 😁 I discovered it back in like 2011 or something and it's been my go-to ever since.

Wow, that's some great loot you have in this world. Lots of diamonds! It looks like you're having a solid hardcore run. I hope you can gather all the resources for your future plans.

Cheers! 😁
