Another week; another Dragonflight progression report!
I was actually quite excited this week for my progression, and that's because of one little thing: every two weeks, at the moment, you can obtain a new Spark of Ingenuity which allows you to craft a piece of gear!
Mostly I prefer to earn my gear via the Mythic+ dungeons, but there are a pair of crafted pants for my warrior that are too good to pass up, and I found a thing in a dungeon that will allow me to have the pants crafted all the way to an ilvl of 405. Huzzah!
For this fortnight's Spark of Ingenuity, I had to do a dungeon. After doing basic quests for this Maiden, I was surprised to have to go into a dungeon this time, and braced myself for a horror show as I queued.
Thankfully everyone in the dungeon was high-geared, had huge raider.io ratings, and we just blazed through it to get the thing we needed for the Maiden so we could get the Spark of Ingenuity. A nice quick run. That's what I like to see.
In order to get these pants crafted, I needed to wait for someone advertising their blacksmithing services in Trade Chat. I could just put in a crafting order for some random to do up for me, but, if I do it that way then I'm not guaranteed to get the maximum rank I need.
I needed someone who had worked on their blacksmithing profession and was competent enough to make the pants at the quality I desired. xD
It didn't take long, thankfully. People advertise in trade chat day in, day out, they seem to have nothing else to do, so I soon had my new pants. Woo!
With these new pants out of the way, I hopped over to my vault to see what amazing wonders awaited within: the wonders that I had earned from the many Mythic+ dungeons we had run this last week.
Inside the vault was: a chestpiece, cloak, and a higher ilvl of the same gloves I'm already wearing.
I chose the chestpiece! It was a larger upgrade and my current chestpiece had no haste on it at all. As a fury warrior, I need ALL the haste!
With my new gear on, I went and tested it out on the training dummies, and I was very pleasantly surprised to see my haste just stay, forever around 60-75% whilst in both area-of-effect and single-target combat. It doesn't really get much effect after like 40% HAHA, so I don't think I need any more haste since it just procs all the time now.
Now it's time to focus on some Mastery instead. 🙂
Overall, this week I upped my ilvl to a nice 394!
I was 389 during my last report, so it's a very nice increase and it's precisely what I was hoping to achieve this week. Next I would really like to replace my belt, bracers, and boots. The Three B's! My bracers are my lowest ilvl at 372, and my boots... they have the completely wrong stats on them for me. Versatility is not for Fury Warriors.
Now that my Haste is right proper sorted, I'll be focusing on finding critical strike/mastery upgrades. 😊 My gear progression is progressing very nicely!
Mythic+ progression is going slowly, however.
Last week was Tyrannical which seems to be easier for us than Fortified, which is this week since they go on alternating weeks. But we know most of the boss fights now and how the mechanics work, it's just a matter of not standing in 'bad' and paying attention to a certain debuff.
When you get to level 10 Mythics and higher, the group gets the seasonal debuff on occasion, which, at the moment, is a thing that makes you stronger for 15 seconds! However, if you don't remove it before that 15 seconds is up, you'll get stunned for 5 seconds, and depending on where you get stunned, that can be very detrimental. My group gets tunnel vision sometimes — myself included xD — and we forget we even have the debuff then BAM, stunned in bad, can't move, and we all die.
We just need to pay more attention xD we're up to level 12 and 13, but level 15 is the aim at the moment.
