Let's talk about an amazing water deck card that cannot be missing from your team on the battlefield.

Her name is Deeplurker and she is a common card from the chaos legion edition and with Alric Stormbringer leaving the free rotation and the arrival of Kelya Frendul the magic cards stopped being used in this deck and melee cards like Deeplurker are very used, but that's not the only reason this card is a good option for you to put on the field and today I'm going to talk about it.

imag 16.png

As you can see it is a card with 6 mana cost but its minimum attack is 3 (that's at level 1) and that's a lot, so if you're in bronze or even silver it's already a great card for if you use it without having to rent or buy it higher level, in addition it has the Opportunity skill that makes it always attack the enemy card with the lowest health which is perfect to defeat it and have one less card on the enemy field and can believe that it will make a difference in battle.

At level 6 he already has 4 attack which is something very strong and also the Poison skill that makes him have a chance to apply this effect on the enemy card and cause 2 damage at the end of the turn so in addition to having 4 attack can still do +2 damage which would give a total of 6 which by knowledge is its mana cost, so have no doubt that it is a great card to use and you will not regret it. I'll leave the description of the poison skill below for you to understand it better.

Poison - Attacks have a chance (50%) to apply poison, which does automatic damage to the target at the beginning of each round after the poison is applied. Poison does 2 damage each end of the turn and is not affected by shield or void.

At level 10 he has 5 attack and this can be an exaggeration since he has cards with almost twice the mana cost that have this amount of attack and in addition he also has the Demoralize ability that reduces the melee attack of enemy cards by 1 so in addition to doing a lot of damage it still drops a debuff on the enemy which makes it indispensable in battles, if you still don't use it then you should start using it.

Demoralize - Reduces the Melee attack (by 1, but can't get lower than 1) of all enemy Monsters.

But that's just the theory of how amazing she is so I'll show her in practice in battle, but before that I'll show you the cards I chose to accompany him in battle.

As a summoner I used Alric Stormbringer and although he is little used nowadays I still consider him a great summoner in the water deck and even though Kelya Frendul grants speed and shield which is also very strong but there are cards in the water deck water that can make up for it like the Venari Wavesmith

imag 2.png

In the first position I put the Serpent of Eld which is a well known and very useful tank card from the water deck since it dodges many attacks thanks to the dodge skill that increases the chance of dodging by 25% and can It doesn't seem like much, but it makes a big difference.

imag 3.png

In the second position we have the Flying Squid which is a melee card but it has the Reach ability that allows you to attack from the second position, in addition it has 3 attack which is a lot and a lot of life so it is a good defense if the card in the first position be defeated.

imag 8.png

In the third position I put the Djinn Oshannus which is also very well known and an extremely strong magic card since it has a lot of health and also a lot of attack when combined with Alric Stormbringer in addition it has the Void ability that reduces the magic damage received and as I saw that my opponent uses a lot of magic cards so he is ideal for this battle.

imag 7.png

In fourth position we have Medusa which is also a magic card and its greatest utility will be the stun skill that has a 50% chance of being applied when Medusa attacks and when applied it can make the card lose its turn or even more than 1 and this is very important because the turn of the stunned card could make a difference in battle.

imag 4.png

In fifth position we have Venari Wavesmith and he is one of the most important cards in the battle since in addition to having a good magic attack, he also has the Protect ability that grants 2 shield to all allied cards and this is very important for 2 reasons, the first is that it will make it difficult for melee and ranged cards to do damage right at the beginning of the game and the second thing is that in this battle there is the Earthquake rule so at the end of the turn when this rule does 2 damage to cards that don't have the fly skill will damage the shield and not the health of the cards.

imag 6.png

In sixth position we have Deeplurker and he has 2 important functions, the first is that as there is the Earthquake rule on the field so all cards without the Fly skill will suffer 2 damage per turn which makes the cards have less life and make the Deeplurker more effective as he attacks the lowest health card, so almost all of his attacks will be to defeat a card. The second function is to protect the back line if there are enemies that attack this area and as the Deeplurker has a reasonable amount of health compared to Medusa and Venari Wavesmith so it will protect this part well, but if you don't have cards like that so he will be your trump card in the end.

BATTLE

imag 9.png

As you can see he has a good number of magic cards so the Djinn Oshannus will be very useful and the other melee cards will have a hard time because of Venari Wavesmith's shield but the biggest use of his shield will be for the 2 of damage caused by the Earthquake rule does not affect the health of cards at the beginning of the game.

imag 10.png

In the first round I couldn't do much since most of my attacks went to Mycelic Slipspawn which has 10 health but she managed to be defeated in this turn but I lost the Serpent of Eld so it was practically a draw.

imag 11.png

In the second round most of his cards were defeated and I didn't lose any cards, so it only remains to defeat the Mycelic Infantry who is almost defeated and the Regal Peryton who will give work since he has the Fly ability so he can dodge many attacks and also not takes damage from the Earthquake rule.

imag 12.png

And in the third round the victory was already guaranteed, in addition Medusa had another great role that I forgot to mention that was the fact that the battle has the Heavy Hitters rule that makes stunned cards receive double damage and this was very useful.

That's all I wanted to show you, and as you can see Deeplurker is an amazing card that can be put to good use in battles.
