Have you ever imagined sailing through the sea peacefully and suddenly a monster appears from the depths covered in armor-like plates colored in purples and blues and tans. With four red eyes on each side of his head and a mouth full of teeth? seems like something impossible to happen and you might even think it's a dream (actually it looks more like a nightmare), but in splinterlands this is possible and the name of this monster is Diemonshark and I bet that after this description you must think it's impossible to defeat He is not? But what if I tell you that he can be by your side on the battlefield? he is an incredible monster and that's what I'm going to talk about today.
For those who don't know the Diemonsharks arrived together with chaos legion and they use these creatures to transport equipment, it seems kind of hard to believe since they look like such strong creatures so why not use them on the battlefield?
Now let's talk about it and its usefulness on the battlefield in splinterlands.
Diemonshark is a rare card from the chaos legion edition that belongs to the water deck and its attack is a melee type, in addition it has a lot of defense and a reasonable amount of life so you will usually use it in the first position so that it can protect the other cards.
Its first skill and that is used at all levels is Trample and it allows the card that has it to attack again if the attack defeats the enemy card, I will leave a better description of it so you have no doubts.
Trample - When a Monster with Trample hits and kills its target, it will perform another attack on the next Monster on the enemy Team. If front line monster is killed then resurrected, it will still perform an attack on the 2nd monster, ignoring the first.
I consider it a very useful skill since in addition to defeating the enemy card you will still deal damage to the next card and damage is never too much and this can decide a match, in addition Diemonshark has a reasonable amount of attack and increases accordingly with your level but calm that that's not all because it still has other skills that when combined become incredibly strong.
His second skill is enrage and from there that things get more interesting, this skill makes Diemonshark increase his attack and speed every time he is attacked, being more specific at 1.5x but I will give an example to have no doubts, if you get Diemonshark at level 4 he has 3 attack and 4 speed so when he receives an attack he will multiply these values by 1.5 and always increasing upwards so he will have 5 attack (since it can't be 4.5 ) and 6 for speed, and why is she so important to him? the answer to this is simple since he has the Trample ability the more attacks he has the easier it will be to defeat the card he attacks and defeating the card he will still make another attack on the next one, maybe he will even defeat that second card too.
You must be thinking how amazing this letter is but what if I told you it's not over yet? yes you may not believe it has more but it still has another skill that makes it even more amazing combined with the other skills.
Its third and final skill is retaliate and this skill makes the card have a 50% chance to attack the melee card that attacked you, this means that when a melee card attacks Diemonshark in addition to applying the enrage skill increasing its attack and speed he still has a chance to attack this card back with his attack boosted and wonder if he kills this card just in that attack? I think there's no doubt about the power of this card and its usefulness on the battlefield and the retaliate ability doesn't count as your attack so you'll still have your attack on the turn.
Diemonshark is an incredible card in both offense and defense not to mention that its speed is also very good, so if you want a card for both offense and defense then this is the card for you and if you look at the value give the card nowadays it's still pretty low for its strength and utility.
Despite its value reaching 3x the value of other rare cards in the chaos legion edition, I still think it has a lot of room for it to grow in terms of value, especially when the sale of chaos legion ends.
I think it's a good card to keep an eye on not only to have in your matches but also as an investment. But since I talked a little about Diemonshark and its usefulness in chaos legion, maybe you're curious to know the whole story so if you're interested, just follow along below.
Diemonsharks travel alone throughout the stars searching for prey and territory. They are fearsome beasts with lightning-fast reflexes. Diemonsharks are extremely territorial and attack any creature that encroaches on their land. The Chaos Legion trains them as transports for equipment. Since they can travel by air, ground, or sea, they are ideally suited for the task.
“You heard him,” Saldy said with a wave of his hand to Cooper, who stood at the wheel of the little trawler. “Slow ahead.”
Saldy scooped a handful of chum out of the bucket and threw it into the water. Muttering, he repeated, “Slow ahead,” and cast a baleful glare at the ship's cabin, where the captain was. “I can go slow ahead. Come on down and chum some of this mess.”
He turned back to the water. Beneath the waves, something dark and behemoth glided. It rose through the depths until it broke the surface. A Diemonshark. It was covered in armor-like plates colored in purples and blues and tans. It had four red eyes on each side of its head and a mouth crammed full of a wicked tangle of teeth. Saldy's own mouth dropped open, and he stepped backward as the creature continued to rise. Gods, it seemed to go on forever.
He kept walking backward, eyes wide, until he stumbled back into the ship's cabin, where the captain sat with his feet kicked up, smoking a cigar.
“You're gonna need a bigger boat,” Saldy said.
