This a story about maximizing your night not just for sleep, and a source of Motivation. Enjoy...
Timi, a young vibrant (na dem dey rush us) diligent architect used to be a dull child from primary school.
Timi had a civil servant father whose interest was to raise capital for their school fees, house rent and other capital project of the family. Being a civil servant, we went off home at about 6 am and returned around 8 pm sometimes 9 pm being the times for cheap transportation fare. (He was not poor. It is just that those were the times to move around with small money or even free).
Timi's mum was a resilient hard-working businesswoman who dipped her hands into every kind of business to feed the family regardless the risk or shame. (Obviously, the civil servant salary cannot comfortably feed a family of 6 where all the hungry hands and pockets are rioting and scrambling their own share of the monthly dough). So, Timi had the luxury of not being watched, little advise but serious whooping when he underperformed at school especially when the academic spirit blows into his father to check his record books or whenever he acted without his brains. (He actually always did that.) Timi continued in this manner while he grew up. Many times he would follow his mother to hustle and support the family. (Don't ask me about his other siblings ooooo. They were Malians).
Timi managed through to Senior School particularly SS1 where something happened that turned his life around from a regular growing kid, to a child with vision, purpose, dreams. He made a decision with himself to be a silent achiever. All students had gotten their school uniforms except for Timi and Koso his best friend. On that day, they both failed an English task and refused to bring to school a dictionary as they had been instructed. In anger, Mrs. Ngozi summoned them to staff room where they received discipline and insult as they were tagged children with no future, terrorists and wasters of parental die hard efforts.
I don't know about Koso. But for Timi, this was a turning point for him. That night, he couldn't just sleep in the comfort of his ground floor as he was used to but to think of his life. From there Timi saw the value of the night and decided it would be his time of reflection and moment of studies. On the first trial, Timi was convinced he could understand and comprehend lessons.

Timi was surprised to see himself answer some questions asked to the entire class in his own little mind. Timi started to study at night, plan at night and make efforts at night. All he needed do was to plan his day and night to avoid inconveniences and extra stress. Initially Timi would go all day non sleep and at night sleep all through.

Now, Timi resolved to sleep two hours during daytime, and wake up at night to make up. Today, Timi is a successful and an admirable young man who need not stress to get maximum results. He is a vibrant, strong young man who has gotten used to this system and now has an edge over his peers.
Now Timi has decided not to get married yet because he want's to make the list of the 10 richest architects in his country before marriage.
