Let's do some social experimenting and see if we earn some $tips while at it!
I have seen so many tweets lately that are discussing about $tip and tipcoin.eth and it seems to be a very popular subject on X. Users get the chance both to earn some views & tips in $tip.
As it often happens with me, I did not have much time to check this project in the beginning, but it's never late to learn something new. Right?
I will keep this post short and non technical, including links for anyone to visit if they wish to obtain more information.
Let's start with...
What is .. $tipcoin?
They call themselves: "The future of social interaction"
What? You are asking who they are? Well, noone knows!
But despite the fact that only the contract & tokenomics of $tipcoin are announced, this did not stop hundreds of thousands of users to enter and to tip with the coin daily on ex Twitter / now X.
Because this is exactly what it is supposed to do.
What is the use of TipCoin?
Can't get any simpler.
The user connects their twitter account, and then through the tweets / replies, they may earn points that can be later redeemed with $tipcoin.
Their X account was created in July 2023 and they already have more than 258K followers
As they mentioned a few days back, they have now more than 100K users and the number is growing, especially since the $tipcoin is now tradable in some exchanges.
I would like to ask you all to be very careful with newly hyped tokens! You may see various scams all around, trying to lure new users into additional aidrops & into claiming more points. Always, Always .. think twice and check more times before you participate. Remember, even Vitalik's account was hacked a couple of weeks back!
How to join
This is so simple. You just connect your twitter.
After you authorize the app
You will need to share a post to enter an epoch.

And also a retweet of a post by the tipcoin and right after that you click on 'check status' to get the message that your account was activated!
Where can you see all the information about tips received?
Make sure you are in https://thetipcoin.io/ and click the top left menu
For instance clicking on stats will show us our points/mentions (which are 0 at the moment) and also the top ranked users.
Tokenomics
This is a very important aspect of each project, however I could only find this diagram

In short
I think that it is an interesting project, but when there are so many unrevealed/secret elements - it is really difficult to evaluate it and to make any future predictions.
There is a hype at the moment, it is so easy to use, but its use is limited to the X platform.
With all the SocialFi projects being created, one thing is certain. It is very interesting to watch them evolve and we should always keep our antennas open, even if we choose not to participate.
As for me, I will not be able to spam around making posts with $tip me content, but then again, you never know :) We should never say .. never, because we don't really know what the future holds.
