I have a little sari- sari store in the house I gave toy son. They had mini restaurant before but they stopped it after my son got his new job. His wife is selling snack every afternoon and it always sold out. Then, I decided to make a store in the other side. Out house is far from the main service road so it is not good for business.
I grew up from a poor parents with 8 siblings. I remember the time how hard my parent raised us up. But they made us grew. All of us have family. Among my siblings, I am just the only one who finished college because I studied in Tagbilatsn City as a working student. I graduated commerce and got my work in Mercury Drug in Manila. Them I applied as a cashier here in San Miguel Bulacan after getting married.
I loved and wanted to have business even before. While working I'm the hospital, I had a sideline buy and selling items I bought cheaper in Divisoria. It was a good sideline that supported our live.
Making it short, today I have sari-sari store. I don't want staying at home without doing anything. My three children have their own family and I have three grandchildren.
Making business can suffice our daily needs without touching the pension I have from the governments. I don't like sitting pretty at home. That is why I am making this to enjoy life with the dream I wanted before to have business.
Our mini store is too cute but the income is enough for our daily food, me and my husband.
We are living in a subdivision so people those who have little income buy in our store according to their daily needs. I am not giving higher price that is why they like our store most especially that I am a smiley old woman.
Our life today if we don't know how to make income would be to hard to live. I felt it though I have no children schooling. How much more if there ate students. Thanks God my children finished their studies and have prominent job.
Life is not perfect, there are so many trials we encountered that is why I am still thriving hard for us all.
