Happy Friday Hivers!
Tropical trees; crystal-clear blue water; powdery white sand; and the genuine smile of the locals greeted us as we arrived at Paliton Beach.
Paliton Beach was our 3rd stop the time we visited in Siquijor. It is also tagged as The Little Boracay in the Island of Siquijor. Paliton Beach is under the jurisdiction of San Juan Municipality. Have you been there?
My original plan was to change swimwear upon arrival however, as I saw the faces of the other guests enjoying the white sand beach; the improvised swing and the other stuff that the locals have prepared for the guests, the plan has suddenly disappeared.
Together with my friend @demzmay and the tourist guide/driver, we immediately headed to the shoreline.
As the locals saw us coming, they immediately got up and offered us their service.
This palm tree is very special to the locals because they could earn money thru the guests' donation. The locals will assist you in ascending and descending on the palm tree thru using of bamboo. Once you'll be able to find your balance they will leave you for the photo taking but they're always ready in case you will about to fall. Here's our photos.
After we'd enjoyed the photo taking on the palm tree, we then dropped our donations in the plastic bottle that the locals have provided. We headed next to the improvised swing.
I was delighted while riding the improvised swing. Swinging while enjoying the wonderful scenery was truly a relaxing activity. Have you experienced that?
After a while, our tour guide brought us to the other side of the beach. And he requested us to strike a pose under the palm trees.
While enjoying the photo taking, I sighted another swing that is made of wood and it is much better than the first one. My friend and I tried the wooden swing. When it was my turned the boy who assisted me pushed me hardly and I was threw to a little bit far.
Although I felt scared because I was not sure how safe the wooden swing was but I had a great time riding on it.
After my friend and I had tried the wooden swing, this young boy used the wooden swing differently.
Look how he used it in his own unique way. It was truly entertaining.
While relaxing at the beach, we found ourselves watching the young boys enjoying their time with the wooden swing. We also enjoyed watching them.
Aside from the white and powdery sand at Paliton Beach, the little stuffs that the locals have prepared for the guests in the shoreline truly help the guests to enjoy their stay.
That was another great experience that I had during my Siquijor trip.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
