This is one of those weeks that is action-packed with so many events that were unfolding serially. Yeah. I'm not even kidding. It also felt fast-paced in some ways. I had to remind myself a couple of times that today is already Saturday and that we are coming to the end of this week.
If you are slightly aware of Nigeria's current affairs, you would know that there have been an ongoing protest since 3 days ago. This protest has been the trend and one of the consequences we are facing for stepping out to speak against the operations of our government is an attack from our network providers.
We've all been battling with Internet connection since days ago and this has been a nightmare to a lot of us who work remotely. A lot of Web3 folks who are from Nigeria were lamenting in a bunch of X spaces which we held on X. Several people had to reschedule their spaces due to the issue with connectivity while other's were getting rugged whenever they were invited in the speaker panel to speak.
I also had a couple of uninspiring experiences due to this issue. I already scheduled the first edition of my "Shill Your Web3 Grind" space and at some point, I had to discuss with my co-host to see if there would be a way to walk around this. We decided to just go ahead with it and face whatever comes out of it.
That's exactly what we did and thankfully, the outcome was remarkable.
We still had a few network glitches, but it wasn't serious enough to disrupt the flow of the conversation. The space went on nicely and we also finished in the time we mapped out for this.
Of course, we had some people on Hive who came around to support me. I can't thank them enough. It felt good to start this with their blessings. Hehe. I also won't be mentioning any of them.
This week wasn't so bad after all. I'm still trying my best to learn so much about Web3. I'm trying to implement what I'm learning and I'm doing my best to share what I know whenever I get an opportunity to do so.
Now, this was supposed to be published last night but sleep took over my body. Lol.
Enjoy this weekend, folks.
