My Gold Strategy
With silver I can afford some fun. When it comes to stacking gold it’s business. In this category I most often stack for weight, legal tender status, steady predicable growth and not collecting. Pure wealth preservation with boring Maple leafs therefore I hardly mention about it in my posts.
However, this will be an exception.
There is a silvergoldbull.ca Aurum note retailing for a short time in Canada but it doesn’t hold a candle to the beauty of the Goldbacks. I haven’t seen much of these works-of-art north of the border so I won’t pin my hopes on my Retailers having these in anytime soon.
With the current gold price at $2650.00 the 1 Goldback note should be worth at least $2.66USD, Using Hero Bullion’s figures Buy back price $4.77USD, Selling Price $5.27 at the time of this post.
Interesting Buy back price, It's as if the Goldback is also backed in part by reserve cash or other GB assets. Anyone see Goldback's Balance sheet?
I won’t go out of the way trying to collect these but at $5USD it’s a cheap gold thrill and it will appreciate.
The Goldbacks
@punkysdad is more of a banknote collector than I and he is impressed with the beauty and the security features in this form of money. He reminded me of that it can be tradable under Canadian Bartering laws the remission of taxes, that is payment of taxes, are not applicable when bartering goods or services.
That’s If I trade this.

With the current up swell in State legislation to re-establishing precious metals as a Reserve, eventually each community can have these tradable/negotiable notes in the years to come. I can see these circulating all over North America regardless of which state these Goldbacks were from.
With Canada having no gold reserve, it will be the game of Catch up when our Fiat hits the Fan.
