I Saw TastyTrade Live For the First Time Yesterday After 11 Years of Watching Them

in #hive-167922last year

I started watching Tastytrade and learning about options when I was 14 years old. I had just entered High School and I was interested in investing from a young age. I was talking about my dreams of owning a hedge fund someday when I was like 8 years old.

When I was 14, I discovered options trading and it didn't take long for me to find TastyTrade.

At the time, they didn't have their own trading platform. Now, they have TastyLive which is the news/media network and then after some iterations of Dough -> Tastyworks and now TastyTrade, they have an incredible options trading platform.

Their media platform is what really educated me about finance. Not just traditional types of finance, but a whole way of viewing markets and analyzing data.

Tastytrade has a very different approach to investing. They believe in active investing and they also follow heavily researched mechanics on trading options that can lead to profitability in the long-run.

I've been trading the tasty way for the past decade. Trading options on the stock market.

I often refer to that as my "day job" while my work with LeoFinance is startup/entrepreneurship work.

In all reality, trading the Tasty Way is not time consuming at all. Typically about 30 minutes at market open is all I need to put on new trades and manage current trades as well. It's quick and I have a diversified portfolio of options for my TradFi investment account.

Seeing Tasty Live in Chicago!

Seeing Tasty live and in person was surreal for me. I really enjoyed it. After watching Tom, Tony and the rest of the team for the past 11 years of my life - and in some of the most formative years of my life - it was like seeing childhood heroes.

I didn't have time to stick around and say hello but I watched from the audience and really enjoyed it. My real meet the rockstar moment was when Tony randomly stood next to me for a few minutes. I remember looking over my should and seeing him and thinking "holy shit, Tony Batista".

The event was both a refresher on the basics of Tasty Trade as well as a deep dive on some more mechanical stuff.

Clearly, these events are aimed at giving some educational advice kind of like their media shows but they are also about meeting other people in the Tasty Nation.

There were almost 500 people there. It was kind of crazy.

New Book and Renewed View on Trading

The Tasty network released a new book recently and they gave them out at the conference. I grabbed one (I hadn't picked on up yet before) and it looks interesting. I'll definitely be giving it a read soon.

The whole event gave me a renewed view on trading and getting back into options. Like I said, I've been at it for a decade now and I have always enjoyed it. It's so fun and it keeps me engaged and informed on the markets.

The level of financial awareness that I gained from both Tasty Trade's media and from following their practices in my options portfolio has totally changed my life. I would easily say that LEO and the LeoVerse wouldn't exist and I may not even be close to who I am today without it.

Tom and Tony are two of the most influential people from my age 14-25 career in the investing industry. I've watched their shows religiously and learned so much from them not just about investing but about the entire financial world.

If you ever have a chance to see them live, I highly recommend it. If you have someone similar that you follow, consider trying to see them live. It was kind of a dream come true for me.

Wow! thanks for sharing about Tasty trade platform to us here, it is really great to ready your content is very motivating about meeting the mentor you always wanted to see and getting more knowledge technique and skills from watching him. I guess Tasty trade must be straightforward to approach, except when you want to enter the investing segment. Thanks for recommending these platform, I guess it going to help me to develop more about trade too. It is good to be well determined and focus on what we want even when the road to reach the place is rough. I guess I have to check the platform out and see what they have to offer.

If you want to learn more about options, I truly believe there is no better place than tastytrade’s site

Thank you for recommending the platform I will surly check it out to improve my technique and skills

That sounds like a cool and memorable experience.

I was trading options after reading a book called Trading Options for Safety and mostly buying and selling calls on stock splints and other events. But Tasty Trade opened my mind to many other strategies.

I visited Chicago once and completely failed to make time to visit the studio, and it is one of my biggest regrets. I am glad you went to hear Tom and Tony. I think that would be so awesome. I am very happy for you.

So awesome for you! I have also followed and enjoyed Tasty Trade. They and SMB Capital have shaped many of my options trading practices.
