Giving has always been my thing even when I knew It was not going to end well

I can recall, a fateful weekend I was at the viewing center watching football and I got a call from My Coursemate telling me he was stranded and he needed money to continue his journey. Practically, I told him this money you’re asking for is my last cash. And he made of promises. Saying immediately he gets home. He will send the money back to me. And I trusted his words because I knew there’s always a First time so I sent him the money and the money was meant for my new week movement going to school and feeding. I was very happy because I was able to help someone who really needed assistance and it’s a thing of joy to know someone feels indebted to for been there when they needed you. that was my case as I felt it was the right thing to do and to be sincere it was a thing of joy that I was able to render help when it was needed

The best part about giving is when you give and see the relief in people and the burden you just lifted them of at that moment it’s so heartwarming

Now we go to the part of regret because that’s the most painful and heartbreaking part of giving. Now I am going back to my Coursemate who I gave out my money that was meant for the whole week, he has refused picking my calls and no more replies to my messages and chat. I have even tried calling him with my friends number still he’s not picking, funny right yeah I tell you it’s just so funny

Now my department, computer science we are over 600 students and we have been separated. I just don’t know where to start looking for him I’ve asked some of my Coursemate if they know him and nobody does. I just have to live with it, again another Favour done and ending with a great regret. I am just the type that hate regretting my actions but these has happened and I just feel so disappointed again

The bad ones should not stop us from helping the good ones, we just should not go to extra lengths to help people to avoid regret when they turn out to be ungrateful.
