Greetings!
I'm a big fan of those that keep a countdown to Christmas and today (the day I wrote this) I ticked it in my mind as I woke up in the morning that Christmas is just 16 days away.
It's not like any major thing is going on within these days of waiting for Christmas, there's this kind of special feeling it brings knowing that my time to finally visit home to eat and not bother where the food came from or how it's cooked which is a complete opposite of my lifestyle in the city and also to meet family members, is finally coming. Also to travel home and stay away from work and the tiredness it brings.
Although my hit time of feeling the holiday or let me say festive period is when I finally travel home, I start to feel the flow and vibe at the beginning of December just like this period we are currently. The change of weather to the Christmas tone brings a lot of vibes.
Earlier this year I had the mindset to travel home from Christmas Day celebration and not my usual way of travelling after Christmas to celebrate only the New Year but with the look of things, it seems I'm going to adopt my old way of travelling after Christmas and that's due to the fact that I have a lot of things to settle especially with finance.
So my travelling home is going to be between the space of Christmas and New Year and I will stay in the villa till the first week of 2025.
The things I'm looking out for:
Get enough rest:
I'm not the type that moves around a lot in terms of going to parties and attending clubs, no. My Christmas season is usually resting time anytime I travel home. I'm usually a homie person, I stay at home, eat and sleep whenever I travel and this year's celebration is not going to be different. Apart from going to church, I hardly go anywhere, I hardly go around to visit people, in fact, people come around for visitation. This year's season I'm going to get married to my bed as usual and make the kitchen an inch away from me. If possible, I might put time to allow visitors to walk into my room. Lol
Bond more with family:
This year, there was massive challenge in my family that got our faith shaken a little. This year's festive season is to bond with family and celebrate the win we had over the the devil.
Usually my family, especially mom and siblings don't go out either, it's my dad that has a lot of friends that comes for him and he goes out too to visit them. With steady power supply at home, it's going to be all day party and noise making at home. I'm not sure of the electricity supply to come from the public one, so I'm going home with a good budget to run the generator all through if the power supply is not steady.
Thanks for reading.
