Greetings!
I'm among the very few in the world who don't take life as seriously as most people do. Oftentimes, after a long day, my brain and body are so exhausted that all I want to do is something relaxing that will ease my mind. When it comes to reading or writing on this Blockchain, all I want is to read and write 'unserious, humorous, and funny' content. Unfortunately, there was just one community that catered to this, but it hasn’t been active for over a year now. That was the Comedy community.
Before I dive deeper into this rant about the absence of such a community, let me clarify—I'm not the only one feeling the void. I was chatting with a friend recently, and they were equally amazed by how I expressed my frustration about this lack of a space for easing the mind with light-hearted writing and reading. Like I said, I’m not one of those serious types who enjoy reading or writing highly emotional content, educational articles, motivational life lessons, crypto analyses, or tutorials. It’s not that I dislike those topics or never write about them—of course, I do! But my mind craves humor and fun, and I want a place where I can meet like-minded people who feel the same.
Please don’t judge me; this is just a rant, and I’m sharing how I feel.
Sometimes, when I finish work, I'm just not in the mood for brain-straining writing contests in different communities. Because I'm so comfortable with creating 'unserious and humorous' things, I often feel demotivated when there's no space for that, and I end up not writing at all. Sometimes, this even makes me miss my writing streak.
I usually post some of my thoughts in the "Rant and Complain Community," but sometimes I worry that I might be overstepping since that community isn’t entirely meant for humor—even though they do allow it, and I must give credit to the moderators for keeping that COMMUNITY alive and making it my final stop on such days.
But the comedy community is still there, isn’t it? Why say it’s not working?
Well, yes, the comedy community still exists; it hasn’t been moved or changed to another niche. But it's as good as dead.
I was very active when the community was buzzing, and I remember when they discouraged non-comedic and non-humorous articles. Eventually, curation support was pulled from the community, and ever since then, it’s been completely dormant. Even when a few of us tried to revive it recently, it was a struggle because… well, you already know why. Lol.
Is the lack of support really the only thing that led to the community’s downfall?
The answer is double edged, and it's probably what you’re already thinking, yes, it's what you have in your mind 🫣
Anyway, that's it!
Just wanted to share an unserious rant.
Hold on, are you rich like Elon Musk? Come and help us do something about a comedy home
Bye!
