Hi friends, it is another time of the year that we will come together as friends and family to relish moments together and share the fun of the moment. For me, it's going to be Christmas Unplugged. Christmas unplugged suggests a holiday season without electronic devices, to focus on personal connections, traditions, and enjoying the moment. The goal is to foster meaningful experiences with loved ones and friends.
We are at the winding-off stage in our school calendar having started the term's examination in about ten days. That will leave me with a week to plan for my Christmas unplugged holiday.
Already the air in my locality is lit with the anticipation of joy, warmth, and togetherness. Fireworks are beginning to light up the nights and carols are played. For me, this Christmas will be centered around creating cherished moments, spreading happiness, and embracing the spirit of giving.
1. Spending Quality Time with Loved Ones
Without family and loved ones, Christmas celebrations would be meaningless. I cherish my family so much and my plans as the year ends would revolve around creating memorable moments with them. My nephews, nieces, and siblings would all travel back to spend time bonding moments with Grandma. We will share cozy dinner and play festive games, stay by the fireplace, etc.
2. Attending Festivities and Feasts
In my state, the Christmas park was opened and will stay opened for 32 days ending on the 2nd of January 2024. The park is a place for locals to exhibit and explore the rich culture of our state- dance, dressing, food, drinks, dance, song, etc. I plan to attend some days with my family members where we will have time to laugh and enjoy ourselves.
I also plan to have a taste of the savoring festive feasts with traditional dishes and perhaps a few culinary experiments at home as I get inspired with a taste of it at the Park. Sharing these meals with loved ones and neighbours will enhance the sense of togetherness.
3. Fun Crafts
Another wonderful way to enjoy my Christmas unplugged would be to try out some local crafts. There would be lots of it exhibited at the Christmas park and I would love to try them out at home. These handcrafted ornaments and festive crafts not only contribute to the overall decor but also serve as meaningful mementos for years to come.
4. Acts of Kindness:
It would be incomplete to celebrate Christmas without giving. Christmas is a season of giving, and my plans include engaging in acts of kindness. I'd love to find out and volunteer at a local charity, donate to a cause, or help those in need, spreading goodwill.
I do not want to get distracted with my phones during these moments but I worry how I will be sharing the photos of these wonderful moments with you here. I aim to make this Christmas a season filled with cherished memories and the spirit of goodwill.
