El salmo responsorial es una oración que se recita en el transcurso de la misa, entre la primera y la segunda lectura y tiene como base los salmos escritos en la Biblia.
Normalmente, el salmo responsorial debe ser cantado y al ser la Palabra de Dios, siempre se hará desde el ambón, que es donde se proclama la palabra de la biblia.
