When I think back to the days when I was starting to write both on Hive/Steem blockchain, I realized how time flew so fast. My goals and ideals were totally different. My focus was totally different and also my reasons.
When I started writing posts on both chains before, I used to write for the purpose of cashing out money for living expenses. So, I never really took action on my Hive Power. I am seriously focused on how much liquid I earn and then cash it out to buy the things that I want. I had jobs before, but just my motive in this blockchain.
It was also the reason why I regretted it in the past. I never really take Hive as a long-term investment, but as a platform that can help me get more cash every day. During the bull season, where Hive peaked at $3.41 if I continued my journey accumulate HP as much as I can. I think life would've been different.
But I've moved on from that. Priorities change from time to time and I have different priorities and mental maturity during that time. I started to accept the fact that I can't change what has happened but rather I can change what will happen in the future. Thinking back, life was totally different from before. I have found some side hustles that helped me survive every day. I have found a main job that helped me in my day-to-day living.
That's why if you noticed, my goal has been powering up these months. I have been focused on increasing my stake and I'm so glad I'm close to hitting that 1.5k Hive Power. If things still go well, I think by the month of May I can achieve that 2,000 Hive Power. It's a combination of author rewards, curation rewards, and conversion of my GLX staking investment into Hive Power. My HBD rewards are being saved to get that 20% APR, which I think is a bold move to be more motivated.
I have already made up my decision to continuously increase my influence in the year 2023. My goal has always been able to get that $1.00 value of HBD rewards for the author I support and I can say it will happen soon, but I know it will happen sometime around. I'm too far away from that, but it's not impossible.
To wrap things up, I'm glad Hive is no longer the platform I use for a living. I know some of us here use Hive for that and it's totally fine. I just don't have that kind of supporters here that I think I can quit my job, lol. Since I'm so busy learning things so I can finally shift my career into IT, particularly software development.
