Hello everyone. The past several posts, I shared and take everyone to see 4 temples in Mae Ai District. But this post I want to share and take everyone to see the temples in Fang District, the district where I live. This temple is called Wat Khayanusit. Wat Khayanusit is a small temple in a rural community. This temple is located along a rural road in Mae Kha Village, Mae Kha Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, Thailand.
Before I take everyone to see the atmosphere of the temple. I would like to share brief information about this temple. From the information, Wat Khayanusit is quite old. This temple was built in year A.D. 1920 or 103 years ago. And in year A.D. 1927 (7 years later) the temple received permission to be established as a temple. And after the temple was established as a temple. 53 years later, Wat Khayanusit received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in year A.D. 1980 (43 years ago).
That day me and my wife traveled to this temple, just 2 people. We traveled from our house to Wat Khayanusit, which is about 17 kilometers from our house to this temple. I didn't take any photos of the atmosphere on the road along the way until we were almost at the temple. So I took pictures when I saw the temple from a distance.
We parked the car outside the temple. Because we want to see the pavilion of this temple first. But this pavilion is located outside the temple. This pavilion is a medium sized pavilion and the pavilion was simply built and not decorated. On the railing of the steps at the entrance to the pavilion are two statues of chickens.
Inside the pavilion there is a buddha image. This buddha statue is named Phra Chao Thanjai. There are many Phra Chao Thanjai in Thailand. And Phra Chao Thanjai is a Buddha image that can be completed in one day. And inside the pavilion, there are also statues of King Naresuan and a brave warrior of the ancient city in the past.
After we have respect to the Buddha image. We walked around the area outside the temple first. Area the wall near the pavilion there is a name plate of the temple. The name plate for this temple is very large.
The atmosphere outside this temple is the atmosphere of Mae Kha village.
There are 2 entrances to this temple. The first entrance is the entrance to the front of the temple. This entrance has a large and beautiful entrance arch. The pillars of the entrance arch have two elephant statues. The roof of the entrance arch, built in Lanna style. Additionally, on the pillars of the wall between the entrances were two lion statues too.
The second entrance is on the side of the temple. This entrance has no arch. But there is a lion statue on the pillar of the temple wall between the entrances.
When we entered the temple. We saw the temple's buddha image hall (viharn). This buddha image hall (viharn) is quite old and dilapidated. This buddha image hall (viharn) is currently being renovated. I think that if the buddha image hall (viharn) is renovated has been completed. This buddha image hall (viharn) will be very beautiful. Of course, I would like to see the buddha image hall (viharn) when the renovated is complete.
Beside the buddha image hall (viharn) there is a Buddha image and a pagoda. And inside the pagoda there is a buddha image too.
In addition, this temple has other pavilions and monks' houses.
These are the stories and photos of Wat Khayanusit, I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
