Hello everyone. This post, I will recommended and take everyone to see the temple again. Several posts ago, I recommended and took everyone to see several temples in Chai Prakan District. But in this post I will take everyone to see the temples in Mae Ai District. Another district is close to the district where I live.
Today me and my wife intended to drive around and visit the temples we had never been to in Mae Ai District. We see many temples that we had never been to in this district. And the first temple in Mae Ai District that I will take everyone to see. This temple is called Wat Muang SamHoi. Wat Muang SamHoi is a small temple in a rural community in Mae Ai District. The temple is located in Ban Luang Subdistrict, Mae Ai District, Chiang Mai Province.
Brief history of the temple. Wat Muang SamHoi or as local villagers called Wat Mai Pho Ngam. The temple received permission to establish itself as a temple in A.D. 1937 or 86 years ago. But there is no information on what year this temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree.
Today we did not plan this trip. When me and my wife arrived at Mae Ai District. I was driving around on chiang mai rural road 6039 in Ban Luang subdistrict and we saw Wat Huai Sam Muang by accident. So we immediately stopped by this temple.
The atmosphere of traveling on chiang mai rural road. Today the sky is clear and the weather is quite hot.
This temple does not have an entrance arch like larger temples. There was only the temple wall, which was made of bricks plastered with cement and two color gold lion statues on the pillars of the wall between the entrance to the temple.
Area the wall in front of the temple there is a name plate of this temple. The temple name plate is made of simple wood and has a name plate roof similar to a buddha image hall (viharn).
And the atmosphere in front of the temple is a rural village. I don't know the name of this village.
When me and my wife walked inside the temple. We can see the highlight of the temple, which is the tall and large golden statue of goddess of mercy (Kuan Yim). And 2 tall dragon pillars on the left and right beside goddess of mercy (Kuan Yim). which is a Chinese style art.
This temple does not yet have an ordination hall (ubosot). There is only the buddha image hall (viharn) of temple. The buddha image hall (viharn) is small, made from bricks plastered with cement and painted white, decorated with gold and light blue Lanna style stucco designs. Of course, on the railing of the entrance stairs are two serpent statues.
In addition, a building is being constructed inside the temple. I'm not sure if this architecture is a chapel or a pavilion for religious ceremonies or other.
The overall atmosphere inside the temple is the wide courtyard with trees and a monk's house. These are the stories and photos of Wat Muang SamHoi I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to watch and enjoy my stories and photos. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
