Hello everyone. How are you today? I hope all is well with you and your family. In this post I want to share another temple in my country again. This trip I took my wife to a rural temple in Chiang Dao District, Chiang Mai Province last week. This temple is called Wat Huay Sai.
Wat Huay Sai is a common monastery in the local Thai community in the northern. This temple was allowed to be established as a temple in AD 1999 or 26 years ago. And the temple received royal granting of the land to a particular temple by announcing in royal decree in the year AD 2000 or 25 years ago.
Wat Huay Sai is in the alley. We saw this temple sign on the roadside (Highway 1178) before going into the alley.
When we entered the alley (community area) before reaching the temple, there was an arch of the temple. This arch looks new and beautiful. And when we pass through this arch, there will be houses of local people before reaching the temple.
When we arrived at the temple, there was another temple sign in front of the temple.
This temple is a small temple, there is no the buddha image hall (viharn). But there is a beautiful small ordination hall (ubosot). This ordination hall (ubosot) was recently rebuilt. Decorated with beautiful stucco patterns on the front, doors and windows. And there are boundary stones of the ordination hall (ubosot) around the ordination hall (ubosot).
There are also animal statues in front and on the sides of the ordination hall (ubosot).
Behind the ordination hall (ubosot) is a pagoda. The base of the pagoda has the buddha images. The middle of the pagoda is the polygonal shape. And the top of the pagoda is in the shape of the bell with tierred umbrella. In front of the pagoda is the white angel statues.
Other atmosphere in the temple. A large gong in the arch. There are lion statues and angel statues beside the large gong.
Local earthenware, small white statues and local hats in the large pavilion.
The buddha images in a small hall. A small hall is in front of the ordination hall (ubosot).
Other areas in the temple are section containing the monks' living quarters and building for monks.
Although this temple is small with not a lot of space. And the temple doesn't have much architecture and sculptures like other temples. But we enjoyed and had a new experience visiting the temple. These are the stories and photos of Wat Huay Sai I want to share for this post. Invite everyone to see and enjoy my stories and photos. Please forgive any errors/mistakes. Have a great day. See you next time. Thank you for your support and visiting my post. Bye 🤗
