Blurt is currently review bombing Hive putting us in second place.

That is not quite true. Minds was on place one and Hive was on Place 23 and after my review (picture below) move to place 6. Ever since Hive and Blurt where added, Blurt was above Hive.

BTW: I mentioned the „Best Decentralized Social Media Networks“ two month ago and made two follow up postings with little effect. I was also the one who told Sourceforge about Hive and Blurt in the first place.

But only now that a whale posted about it and promised „upvotes“ for reviews things got moving. Which tells everything what is wrong with Hive. As such my review is a little more critical. I understand when I don't get an upvote but my reviews are not for sale.

It's not about upvotes, it's about awareness. Most of us had never heard about this survey until he made this post.

You did not hear of it because unlike @themarkymark I'm not a Hive whale. As I said: All that is wrong with this platform: Only the postings of the whales are heard and create awareness.

Most "whales" don't post, so you are pretty far off base. You also have posted 3 times in the last 2 months, consistency is how you build followers, followers is how you "raise awareness".

I have done more postings in the past to no avail. Including a consistent series on software development. I have more or less given up. Check the date I joined.

BTW: My last posting over on Blurt was over 1000 blurt. Something I could never hope to archive here.

I should hope not, we don’t give away blurt here.

Nitpicking? — You know what I meant and intentionally misunderstood.

Do you really think that gaslighting your user base (you are a witness after all) is improving the appeal of your offering? Right now, nothing you said made me thing: „Maybe I should give Hive another chance.”

Nitpicking? You flat out said it and it was flat out wrong.

Actually it is true they are review bombing.

Only when it was brought of people started voting mainly because the site is pretty insignificant. There are only two sites with more than one review and considering the size of Hive there are almost no reviews.

I knew about it for a bit but it was of little concern. Recently when I noticed the review bombing I thought it would be nice to get more people voting.

I understand when I don't get an upvote but my reviews are not for sale.

I never told anyone what to vote for.

That much salt isn’t good for your health.

I never told anyone what to vote for.

Indeed you said all participants. In that case here is my Blurt review:

As you can see it's significantly better than my Hive review. Will you truly upvote all participants?

Please show me where I said all participants.

So you do incentivise positive reviews after all? It's either or:

  • Upvote all participants.
  • Incentivised positive reviews.

There is not middle ground here. Or better: any middle ground, like first 20 or randomly would need additional prove and clarification to be believable.
